I don't understand all the hate for this product. I was almost afraid to open the package when it arrived thinking I had wasted my money. I was so glad to see that the hateful reviews were wrong. When the package arrived, I immediately put it in the washing machine on the "Allergy" setting, which is the longest and hottest. I thought if it fell apart then it's about time. Luckily, it washes and dries beautifully, with no lumps or bumps, and not a single thread is out of place. I put the insert in an Ikea Nyponros large/large white/blue duvet cover and pillowcase and slept in it for a week. . In a duvet cover it is surprisingly light, airy and fresh, but still warm. We sleep in Scandinavian style beds with 2 queen duvets on top of a king bed. No top sheet, just a fitted sheet. He has his blanket and I have mine. He uses a hypoallergenic Pinzon Basics, Full/Queen all-season alternative duvet in a matching Ikea duvet and while he likes the weight, it's too heavy for me. duvet cover, I don't think you can go wrong. It can be washed hot, dries quickly and evenly and is very valuable.
