🔧 Melissa & Doug Colorful Extra Thick Construction Toy Set Review

I received this item in the mail yesterday. It's not a full day yet. This puzzle has large handles that make it easy for your little one to grab. That's a really good riddle. The downside of this puzzle is that my son was drinking juice and his drop fell on the square. Immediately after application, the paint began to peel off. I think the paint on this puzzle should be waterproof, especially if it's a toddler toy. For that reason I won't be buying them again as the design obviously won't last.

I returned this so I cannot comment on the overall durability of this product but I would like to see more photos of this product before ordering. The top of this puzzle is covered with paper made up of multiple pieces, leaving a very small line/gap at the point of connection. This is not visible in the main photo, but it is visible in the following photos, which I didn't notice. My 8 month old loves this puzzle and I see him using it more in the future. I'm starting to see him recognize similar shapes and understand where they're going, even if he doesn't care (he'd rather eat them and beat them up now). some wood so even a month later there is still a lot of cardboard fluff to clear out of the slots where the shapes go that I need to remove. I found it bad enough that the stickers rubbed off easily and then I found this puzzle stinks! I mean it really stinks. Like an old fish. When I opened the package, I could smell a distinct odor of imitation wood and plastic. Further inspection also revealed a significant amount of dust/wood particles covering the puzzle (not very large, but not critical either). I then saw the corner of the puzzle where the circle shape is discolored which is disappointing but still not a deal breaker. I've been wanting to buy this for my kids for almost a year and when I finally did I was disappointed. I figured it would be durable and stand up to kids learning how to put puzzles together and when it got in my son's mouth it started ruining the sticker in his mouth. Wow, I love Melissa and Doug and their toy designs so let me tell you how surprised I was with this article. Of course I bought this item for my 9 month old and it is clearly intended for older children. So when your child is older and more advanced at jigsaw puzzles and no longer puts objects in their mouths, you may find this useful. However, the puzzle has three major pitfalls and not only would I not recommend or buy it again, it even goes in the trash after a day of use (see pic ONE DAY!):
