Keep searching.: Electrical

Very disappointed. These frames are not attached to the wall. They are only supported on one side at the top and bottom. Choose a frame that has top and bottom support on both sides. These will be returned.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • No power

These are the best low voltage boards

I prefer this model over others because it mounts to the wall rather than flexing the brackets which sometimes pop out when you unplug wires. The last few years have not been a problem.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Some bugs

Holes do not match panel screws

The name says it all. The holes in these brackets make it difficult to attach the faceplate brackets. The holes provided do not match the standard threads that come with most faceplates. I wouldn't buy them again. I throw them away.

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • No

Can be used as a razor blade

They are what they are and they did their job well. They're a bit flimsy, but generally do the job. I messed up a few sockets and needed them to flush, they worked great to fix this problem. But I want to stress that the ones I got were damn hot! It felt like I was holding razor blades in my hands!

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Upgradable

Very useful bracket

This is a very thoughtful and useful bracket. This is particularly useful when the cut hole is too large. The design allows you to install it by bending the perforated tabs and fastening the screws inside them. Watch the video on the product website. One caveat: it's not easy for a screw to go through the perforation because you can't see it - it's bent into the wall.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things

They are made of thinner metal than similar offerings from Mediabridge and Leviton but also cost 2/3 1/2 the same (each ). I would describe these Skywalker brand mounts simply as "suitable" and wouldn't recommend using them for anything that will take a lot of wear and tear from frequent plugging and unplugging of cables etc. Threaded holes. when unscrewing the lid.

Pros
  • Stable results on test
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Adding a new low voltage outlet is a breeze

This is one of those things you want to know at the beginning of a home renovation, not at the end. I'm adding RJ-45 outlets for wireless internet access points throughout my house. Half way I discovered these gems. I installed a complete electrical box and punched a few spots in the box to facilitate wire routing to the outlet. This process is painful and I am now finding that it is useless. With these mounts, you cut a hole, stick them in the cutout, bend down the two flanges and screw them…

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Damaged
