🎵 Sony CFD-S05 CD Radio Cassette Recorder with 6ft Auxiliary Cord Review

We wanted this radio to be used in our children's room. The main requirements were a radio, a CD player and the ability to play songs from an external source such as an iPod. It's all of those things. The sound is solid, as expected, but not impressive. That's clear, it has some bass - it doesn't sound like a high-end device like Bose. But we didn't expect that.

I thought the accessory cable was the cable that goes from the iPhone to the radio because that's what was shown in the picture. I was very disappointed when it turned out to be just a cord to plug into an outlet. I thought every radio came with one. There were other companies selling the same product for a little less, but they didn't have pictures of their products with the I-Phone and the adapter cable attached to it. So I thought I'd grab one as it costs a bit more.

If there wasn't a big problem with this product I would give it 5 stars. Everything works fine except for one thing: the power button doesn't work. DO NOT SWITCH OFF! If it's on, the only way to turn it off is to unplug the device from the wall. Doesn't bode well for battery use. They would burn out in a day. Otherwise, the radio + programmer, CD player, tape recorder, audio jack, etc. etc. work perfectly. I've decided I'd better not send it back just because the damn thing won't turn off. I…
