Review on πŸ–₯️ LG Electronics 27-inch Monitor 27BK67U-B, 60Hz, 27BK67U-B by Don Fenix

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very happy with this monitor

This monitor (27BK67U-B) is buried on LG's website, stitched under the "business"-class monitors instead of under the consumer line. I guess that means you won't find many reviews of this monitor on regular websites (I couldn't find any at the time of writing this article). I have two laptops and I'll tell you about my experience with both. MacBook Pro Early 2015. , 13 "Since my Mac doesn't have a USB-C port, I used the HDMI cable that came with it by default. The resolution was either 1080 (1920 x 1080, pretty standard) or 4k (3840 x 2160). The 1080 resolution was decent but not impressive. The 4k resolution was too small to work with Excel documents. Since HDMI is really meant for AV and home theater your resolution options are limited I went with 2560 x 1440 resolution and it's perfect. I don't know why LG chose an HDMI cable instead of a DP cable, but it was an inexpensive solution, my MacBook. It's easier to look at and softer on the eyes Lenovo L380 Yoga (2019 version) I plugged it in with the included USB-C cable and it worked great, the resolution was great and it also charged the laptop with no issues (so far have I only used it for 1 hour under light load), comes with a cable to charge and plug in. View of the display is amazing. Comparing this monitor to a Yoga display is a joke. The ad on the Yoga is so inferior that I can't even begin to compare it. Go to the picture, she is beautiful. Very clear, bright, no dead pixels. I think the monitor comes pre-calibrated, but I've tweaked the factory settings a bit. It looked great right away, but I'm not an expert in this category. Also, I'm not a player, so I can't comment on that. The monitor is very bright, in fact I'm currently at 50% brightness. Unless you use this monitor in direct sunlight I can't imagine you needing a monitor with higher brightness levels than this. The stand is solid and rotates left to right. When rotating, the entire base rotates. There is a flat rubber ring on the underside of the base that keeps everything in place. I don't like this design and it could be improved but it's better than no pivot and I'll live with that.
