Review on African Butter Unrefined Ghana CONTAINER by Anthony Lowery

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Want proof it's local from Africa! Inconsistent but great when sending good oil.

There seems to be a lot of discrepancies in what the customer received after reading many reviews. Different color labels and consistency/smell seem to be the main issues. I wish people understood that raw and unrefined shea butter often has a grainier and thicker/grainy texture. One problem I've noticed with products like this is that people end up getting what's known as Kpannan Oil (from the Shea tree, which has many other names if you do a google search). Kpangnan butter is yellower and powderier in texture, but is easier to apply than shea butter because it doesn't require as much heat to achieve a softer texture. from purchase to purchase. I hope someone with more testimonials! To be honest I agree with this discrepancy (both oils are great for your skin) as long as the profits honestly support the local African economy. I hope customers take this into account. It's still a great price. We still get the best product (from the source!) even though sometimes we get shea butter that wasn't packaged properly etc. I wish Revane could show us proof that the profits actually go to local African countries. Management with locally produced materials. If this is possible, my rating will increase!
