I would warn anyone buying this as a replacement for an acoustic tube. This is a brand new product which has been taken out of the packaging and one of the pipe mounting anchors is only half molded and does not have the side plastic pieces that hold it in place. I would recommend spending a little more for an OEM product.

The connector is not firmly attached to the small speaker. It will fall if moved a lot. I just wrapped mine in duct tape. That works fine. However, the connector needs to be a little tighter.

Clear base fell apart like candy after a week. I walked around and wondered why I hadn't heard the radio message for a while before realizing it was broken. Big security issue and waste of money. Illusion. Cheaply made to say the least!

It took a day before it broke when plugged in. Sound quality was decent, fairly clear although it still worked. It didn't fit like other models I've had. At the end of the tube that connects to your earpiece is a piece of plastic that prevents you from trimming it. Because of this, it didn't stick very well to my ear. I might have gotten a bad one, but for me it was a waste of money. UPDATE **************** The second one took 2 days. I think it's twice as long as the first one.

Used regularly for a few months and now I just happen to get no sound through the handset. There is audio on the line, so the problem is in the handset. Sometimes if I squeezed or stretched the hose the sound would come back and if it did it would last for a few hours or just a few minutes. For something to be used with public safety radios, they're a total safety hazard for officers if they can't hear your radio calls and shouldn't be used.
