The spoon is too deep.

The spoon is too deep. My little one struggled with this and was just frustrated because she couldn't get food out of her spoon. Also, it guides and locks in pretty well, the only problem was how deep the spoon is.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Five Star Spoon :) - Feeding

My boy's favorite spoon for self-feeding. This video was taken when he was 14 months old. It's easy to use and doesn't spill easily! The perfect training bed. I've tried different spoons since he was much younger but this one is my favorite. My video speaks better than what I write I think! :)

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Low maintenance

Good idea, wrong delivery.

Rotating spoon does not work with us. My kid loves to flip the spoon to scratch food with his tongue. She's uncomfortable with that. Also, this spoon is generally uncomfortable with this piece at the end. This tends to get held together with the spoon so the spoon doesn't rotate as intended.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • String is shorter than other picks

Might be ok with modification.

Bought to help my 17 month old self feeder. Unfortunately, it doesn't always do what it's supposed to. Which spin to keep the food from coming loose when someone feeds them themselves. I tried it myself and it still doesn't spin easily. Would try another spoon because it's a good concept just not this brand again.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not the best

This is great for an infant/toddler who is either learning to eat on their own or for a child who needs to adjust. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is that it could have been done a little bit better. The green handle protruding at the back can get stuck in your hand and prevent the spoon from rotating.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Worries me

My 3 year old is blind and has problems with depth perception; He always prefers to eat with his fingers because he has trouble getting a spoon to his mouth without spilling most if not all of the food on it. I ordered this spoon to see if it would help him and it's amazing I will be ordering at least 5-6 more so he can keep one at school this year. I wish they made a fork like this.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Fulfills

Magic for Children with Special Needs

I wish I had found this spoon two years ago when I started teaching my autistic son to eat with a spoon. It really helped to change his diet. Because he can put food in his mouth without throwing it away, he becomes less reluctant to use a spoon. The only problem is that the bowl is too deep. It cannot, and will NOT, reach food from beneath without scratching it with its teeth. Would love to see one with a shallower bowl.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Useless Features

I love this spoon! Ideal for toddlers and children with disabilities

My daughter has cerebral palsy and her occupational therapist introduced me to these self leveling spoons. She barely uses her left hand and always uses her right hand for everything, but this spoon lets her eat with her left hand! I wish I knew about this sooner, it's amazing! Not only that, my 18 month old uses it a lot too. I will buy a few more of these, love them!

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
