which is ok if you replace the old one with .

Plain standard hood. It has the same dimensions as the company for 30-40 years, which is good if you replace the old with the new. Please note that there is no power cable. If you're using it to replace an old one, you'll need to hardwire the cable from the old unit to the new one, or depending on your configuration. Also the air vents are not included. You need to buy separately. I don't think the fan was particularly loud, as some reviewers say. After all, this is a budget option.

Looks great and is a great price

Bought to replace a 41 year old unit with a broken fan. Relatively easy to install, looks great, fan is quieter than the one it replaced. Very happy with the product. A small issue was that a Br87 damper was recommended. It didn't fit the 7" exhaust and wasn't blocking like it should have been, so we dropped it. The original block had no damper and lasted 41 years. The shock is non-returnable at Revain so make sure you use it before you decide to buy it. Customer service was very helpful and…

Another great product in Revain

I received it today. I don't know how to install and have made several calls. The setup cost is $130 and I wasn't willing to pay that much for setup. I'm not a handyman and I always call someone to do something around the house if needed. This time I wanted to try and I'm glad I did. I had a lot of doubts and almost gave up several times but I ended up installing it and it took about an hour. I remind you that I am not a jack of all trades and this is the first installation of Good in my life…

Since there was no damper, it is unusable. ATM certified

Why are they selling it without a damper, or did Revain's spec sheet at least bother to mention that it doesn't have a damper? The installation instructions show dampers. Revane usually mentions such things in "The People Who Bought This Bought It". I am very disappointed and would have a hard time buying any other Broan product. Some reviews of the 7" Broan shocks mention that they are exactly the same size as the exhaust, so some additional adjustments are required to install them. Aside from

A bit noisy, great price, works.

So my landlords had a ventless range hood installed and I've been doing this for years. Next to the hood, I felt cold and warm drafts of air, depending on the season. Out of curiosity, I took it off one day and found that the air duct worked! I quickly ordered this item and a power cord adapter so I can plug it into an outlet in my closet. Boom, now I don't turn on the fire alarm on the other side of the house while cooking and the particle counter on the air filter in the living room hardly…

Pure Junk - Ranges, Ovens & Hobs

I could tell I had problems once I took it out of the box. It weighs half the weight of the old Kenmore hood it replaces. I noticed that the outlet where it connects to the vent is not adjustable like the Kenmore. I think placement should be standard but no. Broan is a full 3/8" apart from Kenmore and cannot be moved. I just finished cutting my cabinets to try to move the channel just enough to make it work. No love. I can't return it because it's mangled and bent over the socket to fit. The…

Perfect for my camper

Update: It's been two years and the hood works perfectly. I had to buy a new hood due to a grease fire. This one is surprisingly still under $40 and I was so pleased with the last one that I bought it again. Another reason for the subsequent purchase is that I have already done all the preparatory work and it will add up immediately. No calculations, cutting or buying additional parts. I'm sure I'll live more than two years if I don't burn down my house. First review: The extractor hood in the…
