Better than OEM and half the price.

Whilst I am completely satisfied with this purchase I gave it a 4 because the only review anyone has written about it says that most Dorman oil pans come as a set with the drain plug and gasket will . mine, no It was still half the price of the cheapest sump for my 97 Del Sol on e-bay and still a great deal.

Fits Perfectly - Pans and Drain Plugs

1997 Honda Civic ExFits fit perfectly. To people who say it doesn't work because it's a different type of metal. What are you talking about? Obviously not aluminum. It doesn't say "aluminum" anywhere in the description. It's a steel sump and it doesn't matter what metal the sump is made of as long as it fits and the gasket holds tight and this one does. The perfect spare part.

Pros
  • Very Good Value
Cons
  • Small Items

Good product in pans and drain plugs

I ordered this oil pan because my old pan on my civilian car was leaking through the drain hole quite a bit. When I received the package, the box was torn. Maybe it's not the Amazons fault, maybe USPS idk, but the pan was still fine. The palette was exactly what I ordered and was very well made but I didn't really need it, just cut the bolt and it worked great but I paid $57 for the bolt 👉😑💥 quite a bit. But overall a good product.

Fits and works well.

A drain plug burned out on my 1999 Honda Civic. It turns out that buying a timecert thread repair kit is more expensive than buying a new oil pan. My old pot had a small leak as well as a broken cork so I replaced it with this new pot. To install this pan you will need to remove 2 small molded brackets (FYI), but you no longer need the brackets anyway. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is that there is no groove for the gasket so care must be taken when installing or the gasket will slip
