Review on Dorman 264 405 Oil Pan by Kevin Lawson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fits and works well.

A drain plug burned out on my 1999 Honda Civic. It turns out that buying a timecert thread repair kit is more expensive than buying a new oil pan. My old pot had a small leak as well as a broken cork so I replaced it with this new pot. To install this pan you will need to remove 2 small molded brackets (FYI), but you no longer need the brackets anyway. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is that there is no groove for the gasket so care must be taken when installing or the gasket will slip out of the way. In any case, it's a good pan and it works and fits well, plus no more oil leaks.
