Excellent design and ease of use

Excellent adapter, very well made, easy to use. On the camera side, it screws into my Olympus OMD (EM10 MkII) with a satisfying click. Likewise with my Sigma 70-300mm F-mount zoom on the other end. Focusing is perfect: a hair within the lens aperture. Dismounting is instantaneous from both sides; But for the lens, you have to push the little lever back to unlock the mounting pin. At micro 4/3 this lens is equivalent to a 140-600mm and is very sharp on a rattle or tripod. [In use: set the…

Excellent investment.

Just received the adapter this afternoon. No time was wasted installing it on an Oly OMD5II with a Nikkor 135mm 2.8 attached, effectively turning it into a 270mm. The focus ring on this lens is a little tight and can be tiring. The manual focus assist on the OMD (mapped to a function key) works reasonably well, but when viewed 1:1, around 30% of the images aren't perfectly sharp. The adapter is not to blame. The ones in focus are excellent. The feel of these old Nikkors - I also have a 200mm f4

Perfect for both ends - shoots well.

For both Lumix M4/3 cameras, for both Nikkor (Nikon) lenses. He took great pictures. Yes, you must set the camera to record "lensless" as there is no electronic control through the lens. And the other reviewer who couldn't take the lens off, no, well, I'm trying to be nice, shouldn't have much photography experience or technical knowledge. It snaps securely onto the lens and you use this thing to unlock and remove it from the lens. If you had multiple lenses, you could get multiple Fotodiox…

This is a fantastic product. This is a simple adapter but you will effectively double the focal length of a micro 4/3rs camera. I tried this with a Sigma F-8.0 600mm SLR lens and it gave an effective focal length of 1200mm like a telescope. Incredible coverage. Then I added an old Tokink 2:1 doubler that turned a 600mm lens into a 1200mm lens, but on a 4/3 Micorean camera you double that back to a whopping 2400mm focal length . You lose two stops with that, so it's only good in bright light or…

Works as expected.

I have both this Nikon F mount adapter and the Canon FD equivalent. Of course. You can spend a lot more money on an adapter that is a lot better than this one. And yes, if you're mounting a lens that costs over $1,000 or weighs over a few ounces (or both), I highly recommend spending the extra cash on something with impeccable fit and finish and plenty of gain on the mount. I bought these Fotodiox adapters for only $185 to attach my inexpensive Primes to my camera. If I were going to get…

Works as advertised

Previous reviewers haven't missed much but I'll give my opinion anyway - it might help cement the star rating numbers. Please note that I use an optional electronic viewfinder on my E-PL1 and all comments are based on photos taken through this viewfinder. I have not used an adapter with a screen built into the camera body. After reading the reviews below I already knew that to remove the lens from the adapter you need to move the release button towards the adapter rather than down, so I had no…
