Walmart Kenwood: Car radio receiver

Would like more pictures of the display. This thing seems very inferior to my other Kenwood double din. This looks like an error message and not an actual Bluetooth indicator.

Pros
  • 2 2V Preouts
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Don't waste money.

Every time I turned on my truck the radio would turn on at high volume even if I turned the volume down. I had to press the mute button on the radio to stop it. The screen froze and I had to wait for it to unfreeze or I had to turn off the car to turn off the radio. A high price to pay for a pathetic excuse for a radio. I've always liked the Kenwood brand, but I won. never buy again

Pros
  • 6.8 inch WVGA display
Cons
  • I will be silent

Waste of time and money

This poorly designed device has not been a good match with our phones for a long time. The connection with the blue tooth then disappears, then disappears. We wanted to reduce the number of phone operations, but this thing takes way too much screen time than the original old styluses and dials we used. I can just drive around with my portable speaker and get better service than what this unit offers. The quality is comparable to d0llar tr3e electronics. It was such a bad buy!

Pros
  • 7-band equalizer
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Buy something else: Car Electronics

I bought this thinking it would be good quality because it's from Kenwood, UT, it seems cheap and works like a $60 Chinese stereo . It automatically connects to my phone only 1/3 when time can't change the color or background on the screen, there are very few options, you have to manually dim it at night, and the touchscreen is ok at best, and the microphone is garbage. Definitely not worth $230, maybe $100. Very disappointed with this system and Kenwood. I'm staying with Pioneer

Pros
  • Short Chassis
Cons
  • Lots of Stuff

Features and controls are poorly designed and too small

Pros: I just installed this on my 2004 Tacoma and can say it was as easy as installing a single DIN head unit as before. The price was reasonable and the Bluetooth connection is fast and reliable; also the sound quality is good. Cons: I hate the touchscreen interface! The volume buttons are too small, as are the playback controls. In addition, the volume buttons have moved to the sides and are very difficult to see. At least my single din Kenwood had a volume control. Conclusion: would I buy it

Pros
  • 2 2v preamp outputs
Cons
  • Everything is fine
