EXTREMELY cheap! Every detail on this sling is junk. The pleasant metallic color of the brass on the clasp has almost completely peeled off. I've only had him for a week. The leather is really poor quality, treated with something like plastic. The strap, which should be fabric, is the back of the faux leather strip.

This lanyard is a bargain price. It has a felt backing that mimics a leather strip and a smooth leather strip for tightening. It seems to work fine I think. The description mentions "one side leather and one side canvas". There is absolutely no canvas in it. The leather side is a pretty decent piece of leather, while the other is some sort of foamed faux leather with an inferior fabric attached that now even plausibly replaces the canvas. This strap was used for action! It came in a flat box and was not bent or warped at all. It has a brown smooth side for snares before shaving, it has a black skin which I applied my green polishing paste to when I felt the blade needed a refresh and it has a fabric that is excellent for polishing with paste. I would recommend this for the price will buy again to give to a friend who is wet shaving after seeing me use it every day while we were deployed in the middle east.

I started with a 2.25 inch strap. It was a huge pain. It's completely different with this one, you can focus on your actual tacking technique instead of worrying about sharpening each end of the razor. The presence of a razor-wide strap is absolutely MANDATORY. I also really like the black leather side.
