Horrible Electrical Cord, Avoid At All Costs!

Based on my experience, this RV power cord is unreliable and caused numerous issues during my camping trips. It's frustrating to deal with electrical problems in the middle of nowhere. The only positive thing I can say is that it initially fit into the outlet. However, the cons outweigh the positives as it constantly shorted out and is not worth the money. Don't waste your time with this cordset.

Pros
  • Easy and secure connection with the locking ring
Cons
  • Requires a specific receptacle to function

Connecting to the mains is now effortless!

Finally I broke down and ordered a Marinco power cord. I always wanted it, but couldn't afford it. Finally saw a good price and bought it. Quality inside and out. I have a surge protector that was almost impossible to unplug from my old cable. With the new cable, connecting and disconnecting is effortless. If you have a similar setup or problem, is this for you?

Pros
  • 50A, 125/250V, 25ft The lockable gray Powercord Plus connects camping or park power to your vehicle and ensures camping connections are made.
Cons

Heavy Duty 50Amp RV Power Cord Easy Coil

Our 5th Wheel RV Trailer is rated at 50 amps of power with a detachable 40 foot power cord. The original cable worked well for 5+ years "full time" but was difficult to rewind in preparation for a trip on a chilly or cold morning. I knew Marinco power cords were the gold standard but when I first looked at them they were around $600 and I believe that was for the 25 inch version. We spent last winter in Florida and even managed to spend a week in the Keys on private property, but the RV's…

Pros
  • Power Indicator Light: The connector on the side of the RV has a molded LED indicator. When it's red you know you have power to the RV
Cons
  • It's OK
