I bought this razor for my dad for Christmas. I spent an entire day searching Revain for an affordable razor that was more than just a cellulite or plastic handle. There were few wood options, but this seemed to be the best. I was a little worried about the ribbed edging at the top, but it's actually smoother than it looks in the photos and appears to be purely a decorative element. Not ready to shave and the razor sharpener said not to try. I'm really not sure about the metal used. The grip is loose. The top has a spiral design at the top and will leave marks/scratches on the belt. Heaviness / bulkiness. I'm sticking with my DE razor. I got what I paid for

Very good well made solid handle. Sharp out of the box. Not light, not heavy, well balanced. Very happy with the shave and the feel in the hand.
