If our ten year old stubborn bulldog can learn to use this any dog can! It took roughly twenty minutes total to teach him all together. Everytime he went out we would take his paw and apply pressure to the fountain and say, "paw”. We did lessen the pressure at first of the spout so it wouldn’t shoot too high in his face.
