Poor Quality!: In Ear Headphones

Had to return this item as one of the headphones was defective to begin with. We decided to just go to RadioShack and buy the headset we needed.

Pros
  • Quick Replacement
Cons
  • Discontinued

Worked as stated.

Used straight on 1.5 mile track (Kentucky Motor Speedway). It did as advertised, removed most of the noise. Not like a noise-cancelling headset, but like mid-range earbuds. The race didn't drown out the sound of my scanner. Comfort was decent, I have a bigger head than usual but still fit well. Overall I like this headset and it's definitely worth the price.

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
  • Modern

Good sound insulation; Poor sound quality and volume

Noise isolation is not as good as my 3M WorkTunes hearing protectors and only slightly better than my Razer BlackShark gaming headset. The sound quality and volume (when connected to my iPhone 6S) is MUCH worse than the Razer BlackShark. So they're back and I'll be using my Razer BlackShark when I want to listen to my phone and my 3M WorkTunes when I don't.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Not sure

Very good headphones

I am very satisfied with my Race Day RDE-058 headphones. I compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and NASCAR races at my home track and wanted to listen to the drivers/spectators and the announcer during the races. I received the headphones together with the scanner as a gift and was very satisfied with the result. The Sprint Cup track closest to me is a short track, which means that after the start of the race, a few laps away, a steady stream of cars will pass in my place, as well as a steady…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities

Expected less but very satisfied.

Ok after reading all the good and bad reviews and looking at tons of other headphones I decided to give these a try anyway. I needed a good pair for the Indy 500 this year and I can tell you I wasn't expecting much but I was impressed. I had a good radio to start with but they were very comfortable, had soft padding, blocked the sound well despite some other reviews and by turning up the volume on my headphones I was able to hear the race radio broadcast in perfect order. NOW, that was an Indy…

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
