Nice little radio

I read the previous post from a customer in New Jersey. I am not sure if the item was defective but I can tell you that I am very happy with my small portable radio. It serves its purpose and I don't have unrealistic expectations of it as if this device would be like a boombox.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Rewind error

I own this radio. My only disappointment is that my tapes don't rewind. The engine gears appear to be slipping. I've only used rewind twice. Because I use this radio a lot, I've adjusted to this defect by flipping the cassette and pressing forward to rewind.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Does what we want

It might not be the trendiest radio, and yes, the notch on the dial doesn't exactly match the radio station being played. However, we bought it because the cassette player has an auto shut off when the drum ends. We listen to old radio recordings (Jack Benny, Sam Spade, etc.) at night when we go to bed and when the radio turns off when the tape ends, it's perfect. Our other radio, the boom box, doesn't turn off at the end of the tape, so the playback mechanism runs all night until we turn it…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Expensive

Great little radio - too bad it's been discontinued

What a great little car! It plays all my old cassettes that I just don't want to transfer to another medium. (Yes, I have another cassette player for streaming internet content that I want to enjoy elsewhere.) It records all National Weather Service frequencies - works well in the US and is free; Just plug it in or leave the 4-cell D-cell battery charged and it'll last a long time in this device. Admiration for "advanced" technologies. Right now it's nice to be able to hear all the great PBS…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
