Terrible purchase.

Recorder broken after a few months. I have a Square Trade policy. It will not cover. And I can't even contact the manufacturer. Terrible disappointment at both Revain and Square Trade, both with this product and its seller.

Pros
  • LED battery status indicator
Cons
  • Some small things

Nothing compares to Sony's built-in microphone

Had to replace my Sony Clear Voice which eventually died from heavy use and age. As a freelance writer, I use it in my company to record interviews. I ordered a used/refurbished one but it was a piece of junk. Revain reimbursed me so I switched to another provider. This winner. Recorder is like new. I can buy another one as a backup.

Pros
  • .
Cons
  • Only available in black

Works fine (5 stars)

Works well (5 stars), much better than anything I've tried, but only lasts 2 years (daily use) hence less stars in the rating. I've bought 3 of these so far and it's the same every time. They're getting more expensive and I'm looking for alternatives. Does not allow different tape speeds. The standard Sony TCM-200DV cassette recorder (discontinued by the manufacturer) was, but is no longer available.

Pros
  • Records on a standard size audio cassette.
Cons
  • So far so good
