I bought this mainly to reduce flare but with my 15-24mm lens it gives 15mm vignetting even if the rubber hood is not pulled out at the minimum extension. I can only use this when zooming out, which doesn't help as I mostly shoot from wide angles.

I returned this product as soon as I opened it. It's insanely cheap. The silicone fell off the ring when lifting it, it was very difficult to put it back together. Tries to shoot with the camera. ha ha. Keep falling apart! The silicone ring was also not in the shape of a circle. I've learned my lesson, just buy the metal

I bought the cheapest and got it. The rubber cover separates from the metal screw on the mounting ring. The ring was aluminum and didn't look like a car at all, it screwed in with little effort. live and learn Next time I'll spend a little more money for something that will last.

When using the zoom lens, there was vignetting in the top two corners of the image at medium and wide-angle settings. Even with the curtain closed, vignetting occurred, negating the use of an aperture when glare is most likely. This also assumes that the hood is not centered or symmetrical to the screw mount. I have returned the item.

Rubber material is fairly light; but he comes and does what he has to do. They included a lens brush and an extra lens cap, which always come in handy. Rubber immediately came off the flange. But I was able to put it back on the flange that screws onto the lens. Just remember not to pull too hard on the elastic as you pull it into position.

I'm not a fan of matte boxes because of the weight and bulk they add to my setup, but I still needed something to control the light hitting the lens and causing a loss of contrast. That's why I love this business. It's adjustable so it works at any of my focal lengths. There are threads on the front that I can also attach my filter stack to. Overall, this is just a big plus for my setup.

The product fits well on the thread on my lens, it folds and unfolds easily. The only issue for me is the aesthetics and that the hood isn't perfectly round at the ends. It's a rubber material so I'm pretty sure that's the problem. This is not a problem for me, but I use it on macro lenses with a focal length of 70-300mm. I can see where if you have a shorter lens the ends can vignette a bit unevenly. In general I keep it and plan to use it for the moment.
