Description of 🎞️ 3M CA-1170 DI-NOC Glossy Black Carbon Fiber Flex Vinyl Wrap Film - 2ft x 1ft (2 sq/ft)

The most realistic carbon fiber pattern on the market. 3M High quality vinyl that is used for wraps and conforms to the most challenging contours and shapes. Can be re-lifted, repositioned, and stretched before going over with a squeegee. When applied correctly to the appropriate hard surface, the film is very durable. When heated and stretched, it can be applied to extreme curved surfaces with a little patience and work.

GOOD QUALITY SHOWING fits vinyl wrap and accessories

I used this carbon fiber sheet to wrap my Boxster's black plastic sill. Slightly stiffer than expected but the vinyl is thick and feels very durable. It was easier to wrap than I thought, but it takes a heat gun or a good hair dryer to position it perfectly and activate the glue. Overall I am very satisfied with the product and would recommend it.

Love this 3M Wrap on Vinyl Wraps & Accessories

I've never wrapped anything before except gifts. That was easy to work with. I wrapped the boat's dashboard in carbon fiber vinyl. You can use a heat gun or a hair dryer to finish the edges. I recommend a 3M primer. This helps secure the edges, especially if you're wrapping something with a lot of curves. I watched the video on YouTube and was very happy with the result of my project. Just be patient and you will get great results. Completely changes appearance.

High quality vinyl, just take the size

This sticky vinyl cover looks like carbon fiber when properly applied. It is easy to work with and does justice to the ad. You may need extra glue when working around very sharp creases. Another problem is how it is sold. It is not sold in continuous lengths but in 4ft by 1ft sections. If you require a larger size, you will need to order another product sold in that size. Don't order two of these and expect an 8x1 or 4x2 sheet. Minimum.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Great packaging material

I can't say enough good things about this film. I bought this 16 months ago and installed it in my Tahoe to hide all the faux wood texture. I removed each fairing piece, wiped it down with rubbing alcohol, and then wrapped it completely around the edges of each fairing piece. I used a heat gun to round off the corners and shrink the material tightly around each edge of the trim. After 16 months of fitting into a car, a full summer and a full winter I have had no problems. If I ever have another

THE BEST OF THE BEST on carbon vinyl

The best 3D/4D carbon fiber vinyl you can imagine! Add to that it's 3M and I don't think it gets any better! I tried them all and DI-NOC got 10 out of 10 in every category! In terms of looks, texture, feel, ease of use, durability and cleaning, this is hands down the best! I use it for everything from custom speaker enclosures, dashboards, drone vinyl wraps, car mirrors and interiors, phone cases and so on. My kids' friends are always asking me to wrap something in CF vinyl because it looks…

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Too bad because that would have looked great

Can't comment on the quality of the other CF wraps as I chose Di-Noc from the start. I was planning to box my snowmobile's hood, but it was too complex and large to remove without seriously wrinkling it. Too bad because it would look great. Instead I wrapped the side vents and bumper. It looks very good. Although the product description mentions a glossy black, the surface is slightly matt. You will need a heat gun and 3M primer to hold the foil in the recesses and openings. Don't freak out…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Safety

Buyers beware of vinyl film

There is a very subtle difference between Black DI-NOC and GLOSS Black DI-NOC. In certain lighting conditions, they look so similar that you have to see both products side by side to tell the difference. But there is a difference. This is because both DI-NOC versions have a certain shine to them. Black DI-NOC has a slight sheen. Gloss Black DI-NOC has a smoother texture, richer feel and, as you'd expect, a significantly shinier sheen. These are both great products. I prefer the glossy version…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Useless features

3M makes great products. My opinion is based on purchasing various items made by them over the years. Apart from that this is the only reason for the 3 stars. So we bought this vinyl expecting to get what's on sale. The listing describes gloss carbon fiber vinyl, and gloss is what we wanted. What we got is brushed carbon fiber. Of course we could send it back and wait for the replacement vinyl to arrive. My goal in this review is not to make a fuss about the product but to let others know that…

3m carbon fiber di-noc gloss black

Ordered 48 x 60 inch twill weave carbon fiber sheet for headliner and inner A-pillars. You will need a smooth NON-POROUS surface for this material, I had to seal the ceiling tile before applying. This thing is sticky, but it gets even better with a little heat. Speaking of heat, if your surface has complex curves, you need it. I'm not talking about using a hair dryer, which can work but doesn't control the temperature. Get a powerful heat gun kit! I was usually in the 250-420 degree heat range.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
