When this item worked, it worked great. But even in the summer, at the hottest and brightest time of the day, it had little to no movement. I don't know if it was due to wiring, connectors or solar panels but me, my kids and I were upset. Also, do not buy this product if your child is under 10 years old.

My son got this for his birthday and he loves it!. There are 14 different ways to do this with the guide and I'm sure you can think of many more. the fact that its solar power is amazing. but when he's not charged, he likes to connect it to the battery. He has made almost all the models and loves the boat model the most, he takes a long bath and plays with it. The other kids love to see what he has done.

Collected with my nephew, I loved collecting with him, he was also happy to help. The instructions are weird and not direct, but we managed to figure them out. The only problem was that the motor wasn't powerful enough to make the gears turn fast enough so the end product was anti-climactic, but it was cloudy, we'll try again on a sunny hot day. Totally worth $20 but not worth more in my opinion.

I bought this for my 11 year old son as a Christmas present and he loves it. Last night he spent 4 hours fitting all the parts and checking that it works on the battery and now he's proved it in the sun and is so thrilled that it works on solar power. He used to work with Arduinos, but I've never seen him so excited about a robot. I plan to give him one of these stamps for his upcoming birthday if possible.
