Review on HP W1707 17 Inch LCD Monitor: Enhanced Visuals with Built-In Speakers, Anti Glare & Wide Screen by Matthew Springer

I had absolutely no problems with this device. The picture is bright and clear. I especially like the feature where you can choose different display settings depending on what you're looking at, rather than manually changing the contrast and all that. Here are some of the preset modes: Movie Photo Game Text Text mode seems to be the most accurate in terms of color, but I've tested different modes and they all complement what you see perfectly. The built-in speakers definitely shouldn't be used as the main audio output mode, but they work well, just a little tinny. The glossy surface of the screen makes everything clearer. This is perhaps the best part of this product; Looking around, I was specifically looking for a glossy finish. A VGA input and a DVI input are available as input options. You can quickly switch between them. If your computer previously used a traditional square monitor, you must install a widescreen driver to get the correct aspect ratio (this monitor operates in a 16:9 aspect ratio). The installation CD is included and easy to install. As for the style, I have to say that it is superior to all others. looks very cool All in all, this was a fantastic monitor and it's great for my needs. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. You can't go wrong with HP.
