    Great little monitor

    I do a lot of text work and this HP monitor is like new glasses to me - amazing. And the 17 inch widescreen is big enough. There aren't many speakers, but I didn't expect there would be. Thanks to the monitor's small size (about 1/10 the area of my old CRT), I freed up desktop space. Oh this room!

    Monitor HP w1707 in my opinion

    An excellent monitor, although the picture appears a bit stretched. It doesn't bother at all with Office functions, but can become a problem with detailed graphics.

    Exactly what I was hoping for.

    This monitor took a little thought to get it right, but once I got it done I couldn't be happier. Personally, I haven't had any problems with glare or reflections. If this is a problem I would suggest turning off the lamp behind you when looking at the screen. I bought this monitor the most for its widescreen configuration.     Not impressed with my review.

    I bought this one after my old screen recently burned out and was very disappointed with the sound quality. No matter what sound exceeds a certain volume, the screen will make a buzzing noise even when nothing (music, video, etc.) is playing. That means either unplugging your audio cable or drastically reducing the volume via your monitor's settings. Not only that, but the picture quality could certainly be better. I foresee a return in the future.

    Great durable monitor

    I've had this monitor since it came out in 2008, 6 years later and it's still working! I used it as a computer monitor for a while, then used an HDMI to DVI cable and connected my Xbox 360 to it. My Xbox was running at 720p and the picture was amazing! This display is very glossy, but this translates into a much higher contrast ratio with very deep blacks.     flat glass surface is highly reflective. I think it's best to have subdued lighting for work; Daylight through the rear windows is particularly poor, picture quality is nice

    I love my monitor for my opinion

    I really like this monitor. It's been working fine for me for over a year. I only had two small issues, neither with the quality of the monitor - firstly, when it was shipped I kind of thought it would be in a plain box, but it was sent in the original packaging, meaning there was obviously a monitor.     Too hard for an old fool like me.

    The monitor I bought doesn't have a contrast adjustment button so everything looks blurry. I would like a book, not a CD, to teach me how to make it the way I want. Otherwise I like the monitor! Of course, it takes up less space than the old one.

    Incomplete items best in my review

    The seller sent me this with just the monitor and power cord. No VGA cable or audio cable as stated in the description. .And no BASE! What am I supposed to do, lean against the wall? I'm quite willing to change this review after this has been corrected, but for now. . Buyer beware. This seller is not great.

    excellent monitor in my review.

    I bought this monitor to replace a Compaq CRT monitor I've had since 1999 and I'm very glad I freed up desk space and the color and clarity is very good. I don't think I made a bad choice with this monitor. and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good flat screen LCD but doesn't want to spend a fortune on it.

    love my monitor is good for me

    I love this monitor! My previous monitor was a big, clunky monitor that took up the entire real estate of my desktop. This monitor takes up almost no space and is also very light! This is also HP. In my opinion HP is unbeatable! They have outstanding products and customer service that nobody can beat!

    Absolutely wonderful

    I had absolutely no problems with this device. The picture is bright and clear. I especially like the feature where you can choose different display settings depending on what you're looking at, rather than manually changing the contrast and all that. Here are some of the preset modes: Movie Photo Game Text Text mode seems to be the most accurate in terms of color, but I've tested different modes and they all complement what you see perfectly.
