Great product. I ordered other nesting dolls and they weren't as thick. These last a long time. I just shake out the chicken manure and put it back in the aviary. The chickens seem to love them.

These are great multipurpose mattresses. Our chicks LOVE laying in boxes lined with it and we lined our incubator with it so the chicks have soft, clean bedding this year. The scents in the pillow also act as a tick repellent.

Nests are very RAU. The chickens didn't lay any eggs at all. They attempted to rip apart a bushing and recycle the pad's strings as the outer structure of the bushing. Herbs don't work. I have 6 chickens and would like to know if anyone has found a use for them.

It is very easy to use. It comes in nest pads with a clear separation of the nest pads so they are easy to separate. Chickens love this! I have over 20 chicks and once they build the nest the way they like it they are ready to go! Please your hens and you will have lots of eggs.

So I liked the IDEA behind these mats, but they are SIMPLY not absorbent enough. They are particularly awful to clean and fall apart when dirty, making removal a major pain. Again, I liked the idea, the herbs are beautiful, they look SO neat and clean when you put them in, but they barely last 2 days (and that's with only 3 hens).

I bought these because I was tired of dealing with the shavings that chickens keep throwing away. Even though they are better, the chickens are really rude to them and you end up with stuff on the floor. One was destroyed within a week. The rest will hold up but will probably need to be replaced in a week. I can't afford to buy new pads twice a month, so I'm switching to washable, reusable pads.

Works perfect for me! In my coop I get some droppings from chickens that sleep over the nests. I go there every morning, pick up the nest pads and turn them over, the droppings disappear and the pad is clean again! This makes cleaning bird feeders very quick. I've used them for two weeks and they still smell nice and are in good condition. From the looks of it I won't have to change them in a few months so for me it's worth the price.

My BCM and OE hens have a sticky coating that sticks to regular pine shavings, so all of our eggs were covered in small bits of wood that wouldn't wash off. Since we switched to these lovely pads all of our eggs have come out clean and residue free as the eggs don't stick to them - amazing! Organic herbs contain a blend of mint and lavender that smells great and helps repel lice and mites. The end result is a very healthy, relaxed flock laying lots of tasty, clean eggs. I will definitely never go back to straw and shavings after using dolls! The reason I'm only giving these particular mats 3 stars is because nesting grasses are in them and are NOT actually in them. The pillows themselves are ok, the bedding isn't as firmly attached to the base as I would like, but they do the job. The herbs, on the other hand, are just completely free - it was like a shower of confetti when this box opened. I was expecting the herbs to be compacted (or somehow intertwined)…
