Terrible Food! on my review.

Beware if your Cocker is allergic to wheat or corn. This food is full of grains that are known to cause allergies in dogs. I bought this for my niece's Cocker Spaniel who has skin allergies. Initially there was no problem and not only did the dog love the food, but so did the 3 cats in the household! Within a couple weeks, however, the dogs allergies were back with a vengeance! I believe RC just makes the food tasty to animals, but the nutrition is questionable.I have tried Royal Canin cat food

Pros
  • Price is high but. My dog does well with it
Cons
  • May be too expensive for some pet owners

This is my first purchase of this food for my cocker spaniel. If you have a cocker spaniel you know of their history of ear, eye and skin problems. I certainly want the best for my pet - he loves this food (and trust me he is a picky eater). He has not been eating this food long enough that I can tell a difference - with his ears or skin. Royal Canin has a wonderful reputation; so I am hopeful for good results.

Pros
  • My (girls) 🐶🐶 absolutely love this food! Great price!
Cons
  • Very good for my Cocker except not available for over 6 months.

I was a big fan of royal canin my little oreo is a black n white cocker spaniel has skin problems due to this food i read the ingredients is mostly chicken by products n lots of grains n chicken fat dogs r not meant to eat too much grain dog should eat mostly meats n fruits and vegetables , n my little oreo pases gas probably 3 to 5 times per day n he scratches constantly due to his skin problems because of this food , I would recommend either neutro ultra which is better or orijen which is the

My English Cocker loves it!

I have a 3yr old English Cocker Spaniel and we get complements all the time on how pretty he is and how great his coat looks. I have a subscription for this food.

Amazing. My Roxie loves this food

Amazing. My Roxie loves this food. Not only that most of her skin rash are almost gone. I almost spent thousands of dollars, my Vet wanted to have all sorts of test done for her skin. Which I know it’s going to cost tons of money. So thank you for this

Pros
  • SKIN AND COAT: Reinforces the skin barrier with essential nutrients for skin support and coat care
Cons
  • May have a strong odor that some pet owners find unpleasant

For Cockers? Really?

Very difficult transition. We have two Cocker Spaniels, both had so much trouble with this food that we tossed 90% away. Buyer beware.

Pros
  • Our cocker has been on this food food since a puppy and she had done well with it.
Cons
  • May not be as healthy as homemade dog food

My dog is eating daily

I have a picky dog and finding a food she likes has not been easy, but Royal Canin is a winner. She finishes her food almost daily. Thank goodness!

  • WEIGHT CONTROL: Helps maintain an ideal weight with an appropriately balanced formula for weight control
Cons
  • May not provide enough essential vitamins and nutrients for some dogs

Royal Canin Dry Dog Food

My golden cocker spaniel (a stray I adopted) is a beautiful girl. I started giving her Royal Canin Dry Dog Food, Medium Cocker Spaniel 25 and she just loves it. I've tried a few other high-end dry foods and she wouldn't eat them unless I mixed in some canned dog food. Now she goes for the Royal Canin dry alone.she just loves it and I love the fact that her coat has become so soft and silky.when she goes outside to get some sun her coat glistens.

Pros
  • My dog loves it.
Cons
  • May cause digestive problems for some dogs

Calling all Spaniels!

My 7 year old Boykin Spaniel has been on Royal Canin kibble for most of her life. The veterinarian recommended it since cocker spaniel have a tendency to be overweight. She eats a cup full twice a day and of course, some treats! She loves it and I am happy with her energy, alertness and her weight.

Pros
  • Excellent product for my dog
Cons
  • May cause allergic reactions in some dogs

Great food in my review

Ever since we switched to this brand our Cocker Spaniel’s fur is silky soft, doesn’t have ear problems, joints are better and she seems to like the food. She won’t chew it but seems small enough to swallow. It says to wet it which we do and mix it with weight control wet food. The directions said to slowly introduce the food with existing food as it made her stools loose but after a few weeks she was great.

Pros
  • 418130
Cons
  • May lead to regular digestive problems in some dogs

The dog food smells horrible and is rancid. It cannot be used. The seller was reliable and immediately issued a refund. May not be suitable for dogs with urinary tract problems!

Pros
  • My dog loves the taste

Dogs Love It and No Upset Stomach

I’ve tried other foods for my spaniels, but I kept coming back to this brand and have stuck with it for several years now. In addition to the proven claims of having a better coat of fur, this one doesn’t upset either of my dogs’ stomachs. Buying the large bag here on Ebay is a lot cheaper per pound than going to my local PetSmart for a smaller bag, which is the only size they sell. Add to the fact I get two-day shipping for free on such a heavy item and save myself from frequent trips to the…

Pros
  • My cocker loves this food and I know he is getting the proper food mix
Cons
  • May contain ingredients sourced from countries with lower food regulations

No More Eating Issues

I switched my Cocker Spaniel, Delilah, to Royal Canin at about 15 months old when she started having hard stools. I began by adding raw vegetables , water and wet food to her other brand and found it to be a lot of work for little or no result. Plus she really didn't eat all of her food or would skip a meal. I spoke to my vet and she suggested Royal Canin for Cocker Spaniel breeds. I eased her into the switch and she gobbles it up without anything added to it. Her stools are normal and she has…

Pros
  • Great Deal, but very slow free shipping .
Cons
  • May cause coat discoloration in some dogs

Our picky little cocker spaniel loves this stuff and it's a great buy. Bag may not last long for larger dogs. I hightly recommend this! Nuff said :)

Pros
  • My Cockapoo loves his Royal Canin, I add warm water and pieces of baked chicken.
Cons
  • Bag may not last long for larger dogs

Food great. Actual food packaging arrived ripped.

Great product but alarmed that the bag arrived and had obviously been ripped previously and had tape applied to the bottom corner. Hoping that the ripped wasn’t from rodents or impacted on freshness. Disappointing.

Pros
  • My Nicole loves it! It is just what the ad said ;) I totally recommend it
Cons
  • May not be suitable for dogs with food sensitivities

Great deal! best in my review

Royal Canin was recommended for my dog, but since this line of dog food is specific to breed, it was difficult to find in stores. PetsMart and Petco carried the Cocker Spaniel formula but only in smaller bags which is much more expensive on a per ounce ratio. Finding a larger bag has been a great deal. My cocker loves the food too!

Pros
  • Our dogs love this food
Cons
  • May not provide enough energy for active dogs
