Scary Dog Food, We are Done!

Got this for my 12 y/o toy poodle. I immediately noticed a loss of energy in her. Sitting like the Sphinx starring, cloudy eyes, wobbly, lethargic, and dozing all day. She even seemed to have a pained look on her face. I stopped for 3 days and her energy came back feeding her normal Wellness, and Science Diet foods. I tried it again. Same result. The second time actually worried me. I am done with this dog food and my dog is back to her playful self.

Pros
  • My puppy loves this stuff. Mix it with some dry food.
Cons
  • Contains artificial preservatives

My puppy loves this food

Riley had an issue with food and it was often difficult to get him to eat. However, he loves this puppy food. The problem is that it's almost impossible to find. My usual pet store doesn't get it in very often and it looks nearly two months for my order from Revain to arrive because of Covid distribution issues with Royal Canid. But if you can get it, especially with a young picky eater, I recommend it.

Pros
  • FORMULATED FOR SMALL DOGS 12 plus: Royal Canin Small Breed Aging Wet Dog Food is formulated for dogs 12 years and older weighing up to 22 lb
Cons
  • May not be filling enough for larger senior dogs

Can you put a price on your pets health ?

Absolutely not ! Before my dog was started on the Royal Canin diet she was lethargic, having intermittent seizures and over weight. In less than a weeks time of starting her on this food she perked up , had better bowel movements and the seizures stopped. I had thought I was feeding her the best but it contained grain. which for a large majority of Miniature doberman pinschers is no bueno. My boyfriends Rottweiler/ Lab mix has also switch to royal canin and went from deaths door to playful and…

Pros
  • Used these when puppies were leaving the milk bar They seemed to like it
Cons
  • May leave a strong odor in the refrigerator

Good price for small dogs food.

This was something new to my dogs and the local pet store wanted almost twice the price of these. They really like the taste and it's lower in sodium and other items that the older dog needs to avoid.

Pros
  • Great product! Would buy again.
Cons
  • Not grain-free

Our dog loves it! good for me

I don't care what it costs or where it comes from, our picky dachshund loves this stuff! Other food he turns his nose up and walks off. This food he gobbles it up!

Pros
  • Puppy loves the taste and tolerates it well!
Cons
  • Needs to be mixed with dry food for a complete diet

Our 15 year old pup loves it

We decided to change her diet after noticing subtle changes in her health. There’s no doubt this new food for senior dogs did the trick. She loves it. Worked for us!

Pros
  • My dog loves this food. Price could be better but it is what it is. Puppy lives so I pay the price.
Cons
  • Not suitable for dogs with allergies to certain ingredients

SMALL package! Here's my hand for reference.

So, to be honest, I haven't fed this to my dog yet. I will update the rating when I do. I just wanted people to see how small the actual package of 12 servings is. For the price, I'm a bit disappointed right now. I can buy cans of premuim food for a lot less. This is 36 ounces of food, in 12 3-oz packages.I'll feed it to her, and then we'll see.

Pros
  • Just too expensive!
Cons
  • Limited selection of flavors

Happy Happy Moxie best in my review

My Pomeranian Miss Moxie loves this Royal Canin dry kibble as well as the wet food. She’s a picky eater and this dog food has fixed that challenge.

Pros
  • This puppy food was of great quality. A little pricey but worth the money.
Cons
  • Not suitable for dogs with kidney problems

Incredibly spoiled Maltese loves this

My terribly picky and incredibly spoiled 12-year-old Maltese devours this, which is honestly shocking -- she has turned her nose up at nearly every other type of store-bought dog food I've ever tried. She has eaten a home-cooked diet for most of her life, but has grown particularly picky recently. a friend recommended this food, and gave me a packet to try -- to my great surprise, my dog ate it almost immediately. Since then, I've been giving this to her regularly, interspersed with other types

Pros
  • My little precious faith seems to love it.
Cons
  • Not recommended for dogs with liver problems

Cost is to much good for me

It's a good product, but I can't afford to feed it to my 2 little dogs. Cost far to much for me as I live on SS and while I love my dogs, I still need to provide for myself as well.

Pros
  • My dog loved this food!!!! She kept begging for more and more!!!
Cons
  • May spoil quickly once opened

Shipping mistake - my new review

The food is fine. But, instead of placing the boxes of food in a sturdy box, they were placed in a bag. The boxes inside came apart and were smashed, making them unusable. Ridiculous choice of shipping.

Pros
  • Great for Chihuahua puppy. 6 weeks old and loves it. High in nutrition.
Cons
  • Can cause gastrointestinal upset in some dogs

I don't know how yummy this is but

My mini Dachshund likes it very much thank you. All in all I'm not a big fan of pouched food because getting it out of the pouch proves messy, but the size is right and each pouch will last two meals for her.

Pros
  • Excellent!
Cons
  • Not suitable for dogs with pancreatitis

My 14 yr shitsu loves her 5:00 dinner.

Liked ! Wish less expensive!when Pet Smart has in stock cheaper than Revain.because subscribe & save only gives discount of 5% not 15%.

Pros
  • My fussy little dog loves the small bites. And I like the convenient pouches.
Cons
  • Can be messy to serve

Satisfaction with my dog

This is the only food my little guy will eat. It is hard to find and in the quantities I want. My little guy just gobbles it up like you would not believe and his other end is not all runny either. With a dog with long hair that is a God send!

Pros
  • My dog will not eat it I try everything but he won't eat it
Cons
  • Not recommended for dogs with heart disease

Packaging ignorance!

This is Grade A pet food and quite expensive. I was stunned when it arrived in a mailing envelope as if it were a sweater or perhaps underwear! Needless to say, the packets of food didn’t make the journey intact. Some pouches of food were split open upon arrival, not only spoiled, but creating a soggy, unsanitary mess of the remaining pouches. I don’t know who did the packing, but he or she could sure use a bit of training. This was my loss.

Pros
  • Feed dogs.
Cons
  • Not approved for use in puppies

Same but Dog says NOT THE SAME!

I use Royal Canin Pouch Dog Food for ChihuahuasWas sent this when you could not get hold of what I had been using but my dog would not even try this Royal Canin Size Health Nutrition Small Breed Chunks in Gravy Pouch Dog FoodClear. She will eat other kinds of dog food with gravy and whatever just this she would not touch.

Pros
  • Recommended by vet for 10 yr old Maltese with very few teeth for chewing.
Cons
  • Contains artificial colors

Yorkies favorite - my new review

Finally I found something my little one enjoys eating. Sad it is so expensive for such a little amount and not many places sell it. 4 stars for the price :(

Pros
  • We add this to our dogs food and she loves it
Cons
  • Not appropriate for diabetic dogs

My dogs favorite food

My dogs are senior, 13 and 11 years old so they’ve tried a lot of different brands. This is their absolute favorite. My 11 year old is very finicky, this is the only dog food she’ll eat. And most importantly they both digest this food very well. My 13 year old has major digestive issues. Since this food she’s so much better. It is so expensive tho. But they’re my babies and want what’s best for them and they love it. It’s not available on Revain for 1 to 2 months unfortunately right now. Chewy…

Pros
  • A bit expensive
Cons
  • Some dogs may have trouble digesting wet food

Puppy didn't even like the smell of it!

I don't know what the problem was with this dog food.but my 10wk old chihuahua wouldn't eat it at all! He didn't like the smell of it either.

Pros
  • Need larger quantity
Cons
  • May contain ingredients sourced from China

Started to make my dog sick

I had to take my dog off of this - started to make her stomach upset. Don't know for sure if it was the food or not - but she is doing much better now that she isn't eating it.

Pros
  • My dog loves this. Very happy with product and the price
Cons
  • My dog love this bone
