Great for small dogs, not for cats.

We bought this for our pitbull puppy. The bowl is great for her. Lots of obstacles for her to eat around so she can't inhale her food. We tried it on our fat cat who eats his food and goes looking for more. Not so good for him. He could only pull it out with his paws which is ok for enrichment, but he still had food the next day. He was unable to finish his meal in a reasonable period of time. So we would say.good for dogs with long tongues, but not for cats.

Pros
  • Nice and will buy again
Cons
  • May be more difficult to clean than traditional bowls

It's okay. good for me

I have a 4 month old lab puppy who inhales her food. This definitely slowed her down at first. Once she figured out how to get the food out she is now much quicker. I would say not as fast getting her food out as as a regular bowl. Maybe a larger bowl will have deeper division. I ordered the pink bowl and it is not pink at all. The color is more coral to almost orange. It also does not stay in one place when she eats. She can definitely nose it around. She is served one cup in the bowl and it…

Pros
  • Great value for the price
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to use for owners with limited dexterity or mobility

Slows them down best in my review

My cats are fat. Two of them starve the thinner boy by wolfing down all the kibble at once and not letting him eat. I got this so the fat ones would fill up without eating as much, and it does the job! They aren’t gorging/puking anymore and are slimming down. The obstacles and sides of the bowl are smooth and tapered, and the material is very sturdy, so the chronic chewer isn’t hurting his teeth or damaging the bowl. The only problem is that the bowl is very lightweight— every morning before I…

Pros
  • Works great for my little pug who has a tendency to eat too fast
Cons
  • May not hold enough food for large breeds

WORKS LIKE A CHARM in my review

When I first opened it I thought oh, my dog won't eat from this! It's a big bowl. So, I gave it a try and not only did he eat from it, it took him at least TWICE the time if not more to eat! Goal accomplished and I'm super happy with this product. My dog was regurgitating when he ate due to fact he ate so fast and so far so good! As far as the suction I put my dog bowls on a mat so Does not matter to me!

Pros
  • Yes she didn't use it the first day . But thereafter it's been great
Cons
  • Some dogs may simply refuse to use it

My dog has finally met his chomping match!

I have a shih tzu and he would chomp his food down in seconds, resulting in poop problems and mood,… finally was suggested a bowl like this and I got this one … at first I thought they were very gimmicky looking so I never considered them, but this bowl works so great! It takes him a couple minutes to eat now and he stops to chew ! Definitely would recommend this bowl for a dog who scarfs it’s good to quickly.

Pros
  • Provides a healthy and practical solution to feeding dogs
Cons
  • May not be appealing to dogs who are used to traditional bowls

Slowed down my fast eater!

I love this bowl! My almost 8 year old treeing walker coonhound would end up choking up his whole meal because he ate so quickly. It took him much longer to eat using this wonderful bowl and he didn't cough up any of his food! I would buy this again in a heartbeat!

Pros
  • It’s cheap and moves around a lot, but slows down the dog. From 3 minutes to 20 minutes eating wet food
Cons
  • May not be suitable for small breeds

Does not work for my two French Bulldogs

My two French bulldogs were not able to get their nose into the cracks so they gave up trying to eat out of it Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Easy to fill with food and treats
Cons
  • May not be as effective for dogs who require special dietary supplements or additives

Tiny grips don’t work, bowls sides all over !

Easy cleaning & sturdy , HOWEVER the tiny strips they give you fall off and the bowls slides all over. Need to design a bottom of bowl with non slip material all over the bottom !

Pros
  • Suitable for all life stages of dogs
Cons
  • Not ideal for dogs who require regular feeding schedules for medical reasons

Very happy! Great solution!

My dog is 5 years old Schnoodle (18 pounds) who loves to eat everything and he is hungry all the time. Every day when I was feeding him he ate his food in less than 5 seconds (not exaggerating), sometimes he ate too fast, and after a few minutes of eating he will throw up (nothing to do with his food, and his health/ all confirm by his vet), so I mentioned this to his groomer and she recommended to try a Slow Feeder Dog Bowl. The first time he was kind of puzzled about it but with encouragement

Pros
  • My Bassett hound who was having problems eating her food.. Works perfect..nice slow eating
Cons
  • Can make a mess on your floor

I use this for my Chickens 👍🏼🐓

Love this bowl, I put Grit and Oyster Shells in it…does not tip over! Chickens love to peck on the separators in bowl. Cuz they love to Eat and Peck…And Perch on their bowls….No more Grit and Oyster Shells on the bottom of Coop….No Tipping over bowls! 👍🏼Its Perfect! Got my first one at GoodWill. Had to get another from Revain which is perfect for having a clean one to replace the empty dirty one.Happy Chickens….❤️🐓👍🏼 Happy Chicken Mommy

Pros
  • This bowl took his eating time from 1 minute to a full 10 minutes.
Cons
  • Not suitable for dogs with short muzzles

It's peachy - my new review

My cat would simply inhale his kibble, then barf it all back up, before I got him this food maze bowl. Now he's got to slooooow down to get the kibble from the nooks and crannies. My selection criteria were price, ratings, and cosmetic in choosing this over others. This bowl narrowly won, because it is a pleasing peach color.I would buy it again, if I needed one, but it's stood up to years of abuse

Pros
  • Love how this helps my dog eat her food at a better pace.
Cons
  • Some dogs may outsmart the puzzle too quickly

Just what we needed

I own a dog boarding kennel and have a few dogs that come in that wolf their food down. Worrying about 'bloat' I decided to try this bowl.works great!

Pros
  • Good bowl slows down food gulping
Cons
  • Some dogs may find the puzzle aspect frustrating

Does what it says for my opinion

We just got a 6 month old puppy who scarfs down his food in 1 minute or less, which in turn would always cause him to throw up after. With this bowl it makes him take his time, usually about 5-7 minutes to eat now. No more throwing up after eating! Very happy with purchase. It does slide around a bit even with the rubber pieces on the bottom. But that's not a big deal for me.

Pros
  • Helps improve nutrient absorption in dogs
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to use for dogs with cognitive impairments

Works well, made for smaller dogs

Smaller than I expected, I might not have read the description well enough, but this seems like it is made for a puppy or small dog. Still useful for my pit bull that likes to eat too fast. It didn't slow her down quite as much as I would have liked, but that is probably due to the size. My fault not theirs. Solid plastic, though my dogs would be able to chew it up if they'd like, it has lasted a few weeks just fine.I presume the plastic will eventually scratch, whick would make this less…

Pros
  • Helps prevent bloat and other digestive issues
Cons
  • May not be as effective for dogs who have dental problems or missing teeth

anti food inhaler: my feedback

This works so well, my dog no longer eats her food in 2.2 seconds. More like several minutes now.So glad I made this purchase for her overall health.

Pros
  • Non-toxic and safe for pets
Cons
  • May not be as effective for teething puppies

Oh it definitely did the job

Got this for our Rottweiler who finishes his meal before I can even leave the kitchen. Now he's last to finish out of our 4 dogs. I don't know if he's just pissed about it or if he's actually struggling but most of the time he doesn't even finish eating now. Not sure what to make of that.

Pros
  • It did good to slow my dog down from eating everything without breathing. Good little device
Cons
  • Can limit water intake

Bought for our monster puppy.

Our new puppy was inhaling her food so fast that we needed to slow her down. Honestly, I picked this bowl because it was the cheapest. But it has been working perfectly for 2 months now. We have it on a carpet square, so I can't talk to the suction feature, but it has held up to puppy teeth and tossing and digging.I was concerned that the ridges were too deep, but it only took a week for the puppy to figure out how to get the kibble in the corners.

Pros
  • Pet Supplies
Cons
  • May not prevent choking in all dogs

Decent Bowl and Solves for Hungry Dog

Loved the color and was a great size for feeding my dog during her meal time. It can fit 1 1/2 cups of dog food, anything more starts to be too much. The bowl comes with rubber stoppers to put on the bottom to keep the bowl from moving around while my dog is eating. The ONLY downside of this bowl is, as my dog eats, her teeth with scrape up against the bowl or she'll accidentally bite the middle pieces and the bowl is quick to scratch or get marks on it. The bowl was marked up the first time I…

Pros
  • Easy to clean
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to transport

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Slides all over the floor.

The bowl is on the smaller side, definitely not for a medium size dog. Even with the no slip tabs, it slides all over the floor.

Pros
  • Purchased for our dogs 11 weeks, 6 y.o. and 8 y.o. Great purchase. Wish we would have bought sooner
Cons
  • Not ideal for dogs with dental issues

Perfect fix for a cat who makes himself sick

My two and a half year old cat spent several weeks woofing down his food so fast that he was regurgitating after almost every meal. I tried feeding him a bit at a time, I tried sitting with him while he eats, I tried putting plastic toy balls in his food dish so he'd have to eat around them, and he'd still throw up.I ordered this bowl as a sort of last option before taking him to the vet to make sure something wasn't wrong with his health. At first he was not the slightest bit interested in it,

Pros
  • Helps stimulate the mind and provide mental stimulation
Cons
  • Can lead to frustration if your dog is unable to solve the puzzle
