Our Oscar is pretty much fully grown at 13 lbs., and has a tongue that gets into everything. I get him these types of bowls to stop him from devouring his food in seconds. perfect size for chow for my 60 lb dog that gets 1 cup of food in am and 1 cup in pm - dish could hold up to 4 cups easily tho. Pretty sturdy and the inclusion of the rubber stoppers on the bottom kept the dish in place on the kitchen floor through his rooting and traveling around the bowl to get all the pellets out. This bowl works REALLY WELL! Our 155lb St Bernard inhales his food faster than a Hoover vacuum. This bowl has slowed him down - what would normally take about 1-2 minutes to eat - now takes him about 6-7 minutes. His digestion is much better now and we don't have to worry that he will throw his food back up. The bowl has held up very well in the 6 months we've had it - it gets washed 2X per day by hand and at least once a week in the dishwasher. Highly recommend this if your dog is a scarfer!

This is great for our three cats. They've all had to slow way-y-y down when eating and I honestly think they are now having fun. They push it all around the floor but it has never tipped over. It's so funny to watch when two of them get on each side of the dish and pull it back and forth as they are ready to paw out the next piece of cat food. I feel the bowl is reasonably priced and is of a good quality. We use it for a dog who tends to eat very quickly then becomes sick afterwards, this helped her slow down in eating with little interference from us. I highly recommend this product for anyone who has a pet who tends to eat too quickly. While we don't use it for a water bowl it could be easily used for a pet who also drinks too quickly.

This bowl has helped out my dog tremendously. I have a mini Australian Shepard that would completely devour her food as soon as we set it down. With this bowl, her meals have gone from lasting 2 minutes to around the 10-15 minute mark. The bowl itself is very good quality, and is pretty much the exact color shown. Though it isn't as deep as I would like, you can't have the bowl being too deep where the dog has to overexert his/her self to get the food out of the very bottom. Overall, very happy
