Funny math toy, best learning and educational toy

I bought this for my preschool class. Kids love it so much and there are so many ways to play with it. When teaching, it's important to have things that can apply to many different abilities and learning styles. This game allows children to use their early math skills to learn no matter where they are. Great.

Excellent math game

I like everything about this game. I bought it for my 5 year old but even my 11, 9 and 2 year olds love to play with it. The quality of every detail is very good. I like making monkeys and numbers. It was a really well thought out game. My 5 year old will sit and play with this alone and come up with new combinations of numbers. It's really adorable.

  • Excellent prize

Great idea, poor execution

I really like the idea of this gift. This was a gift for my 3 year old daughter and she loves it. However, the numbers are not all accurate. 6 doesn't match 6 monkeys etc, it happens with quite a lot of numbers. The whole point of the toy is balancing evenly, and it teaches my daughter to add more monkeys than necessary to balance! Disappointed.

Great educational toy and fun!

I went back several times and thought about whether to take it or not. I finally ordered it and I'm very happy about it! I should have ordered them a while ago. My 5.5 and 2 year olds love it and it's a great educational toy. The numbers are weighted. So, for example, if you put the number 4 on one side of the scale and then 4 monkeys on the other side, they all weigh the same. It's really awesome!

Very cool hands in training. Did the trick, she got it :).

Sooo cute! Now my youngest is having trouble understanding balanced equations. Light things like. 3 + 4 = 5 + 2, they both equal 7 and I was able to use the monkeys on the scale to show her how alike they are! Relax. After the first day she understood. Now it's just a sweet reminder of what she learned. She played with different toys to find other things that weighed the same as the monkeys. She was having fun and it helped her finally solve simple math equations that are balanced. That's not…

Inspires creativity

I used this monkey scale to research numbers with 5-7 year olds. Weighted Numbers are perfect for kids to associate a number and a sum. They also found sets within numbers and saw relationships (6 is 4 and 2). I love how weighted numbers make it easy to extend addition and subtraction. I just wish there were more monkeys and numbers so we could explore doubles and numbers beyond 19. Otherwise I'll have to get a few more sets so the questioner kids can explore these ideas. It would be nice if I…

A good toy for learning numbers and counting.

I like the idea. I'm just not sure if it was for quality reasons. The monkey you put numbers and weights in is very light and was knocked down several times in the first 10 minutes. The little monkeys you put in the bowl won't stand up like they do in the picture unless you're very, very careful. I admit my 4 year old was frustrated at first. if you can get through it I thought the concept was a very clever idea. I counted the money in a bowl and my 4 and then 3 year olds found the numbers and…

Great Buy!: Science Kits and Toys

The first item I received was defective so I contacted the seller. I got a reply and they were kind enough to send me a new one. I've had this toy for over 2 months now and it's really durable. The only thing that isn't as durable are the cards. They are fragile and can easily be torn in the hands of small children. At the same time, a real toy, scales, little monkeys and numbers are durable. I work with children with intellectual disabilities and help with their behavior. Some of these…

A good tool to introduce children to the concept of equivalence.

My 21 month old baby is already counting objects one after the other, saying numbers up to 20, but I can see that he is doing this because he knows the sequence of numbers by heart and is unable to count and convert to quantity . I bought this product to visually instruct him and introduce him to the concept of equivalence between quantities and actual numbering symbols. The colorful numbers excite him and he has a lot of fun grabbing the numbers and saying their names. It takes some effort to…
