Always keep a box handy

While many reviewers express disappointment that Baggies don't have a zip, we actually buy them precisely because they don't have a zip. Zip codes have their problems, we can agree, but there are downsides too. They are often difficult to reopen, the zipper can fail, the sides can tear after opening several times. They are also larger and bulkier than many jobs require, e.g. B. Driving a Hummer. Yes, they're functional, but bulky and totally unnecessary. The bags are lightweight, making them…

Pros
  • Perfect for me
Cons
  • No instructions

I use them for individual bags to freeze raw meat in the freezer

They come in rolls (like the plastic bag rolls on the grocery shelf except smaller). If I need to freeze 10 chicken breasts (for example), I tear off 10 bags and pull out a one-gallon Ziploc bag. I put my hand in a pocket (like mittens or gloves) and take the meat. Then I pull the bag from my hand and place it over the meat. Finally, I wrap the top of the pouch around the meat (like rolling it). When I've finished all 10 bags, I put them in a ziplock bag and put them somewhere in the freezer…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Discomfort demons back in action

Have loved these for years and have no idea why supermarkets have stopped stocking such a healthy and economical product. If you go to customer service and ask where the baggies are, someone will direct you to regular plastic bags. They don't seem to see the difference between a bag reel that makes it easy for you to tear off one bag at a time in a hurry, and a bag box that you can take a bag out of and think up a few things and then take care of, putting the excess back in the box when/if you…

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
