Short answer: It looks much better than the stock adapter and works with 3070 FE. If you're buying this for the 3070, I just plugged in the (1) 8-pin adapter (look at the standard adapter to see which 8-pin connector you need to plug it into). It would probably be nice if both 8 pins were connected, but I didn't want to risk it. Just tried this 12 pin header with an RTX 3090 FE. My computer shut down right after starting COD. I couldn't start the computer again until I returned the original 12-pin split connector. I checked all the connections and everything looked fine. It's either the cable specification or the EVGA 1000W power supply pin connections.

I am a technologist with more than 20 years of experience. I rarely give a bad review. However, the PIN layout of this product was completely wrong. We installed it, moved it around to make it look good, etc. turned on the computer but no video! I took it off and compared it to the NVIDIA factory cable (using a Geforce 3060), one of the PINs was wrong.

Pros: - Works stable with my RTX 3070 (tested with Heaven Benchmark 4.0) - Looks better than the stock Nvidia adapter that comes with 30 series cards. Complete with 2 cable combs actually fit (5 total) - One of the 12 pin connectors came loose when I was learning to wire with limited combs. Final Thoughts: - Works but they definitely rushed it with this product. I would wait for the extension cord manufacturers to get it right (including additional colors) before purchasing.

So far so good! I've seen a few negative reviews about overheating issues or poor design. Comparing this cable to what EVGA has to offer the pin and connector layout is identical - I will keep a close eye on the cable and report negative results!

I liked the design of Nvidia's new GPU, but I didn't like the position of the new 12-pin connector and the adapter that came with the card didn't look good. This adapter looks much better and connects to the rest of the cables I have. Now I don't worry about the position on the GPU anymore. The adapter seems to work well, it felt as good as any other jacketed cable I've used in the past and so far I haven't had any power issues.
