I think I bought the wrong item

I bought this tester to see if my ethernet connection was working. I assumed the device would catch fire if it worked. It has no light so I still don't know if the port is active or not.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • bad advice

Doesn't work in plugs and adapters

I thought I was one of those guys who didn't have problems, no way. Doesn't work on my router or switch. Waste of money, in the process of returning

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Didn't work best in Accessories & Supplies

Didn't work right out of the box. Internal wiring has been shorted. I found this out after spending time troubleshooting ports that were actually working. Not impressed with QAQC company

Pros
  • Positive Only
Cons
  • Available in White Only

Ready on arrival.: Plugs and adapters

No daisy chain, not even through. A complete waste of my precious time. Pinout confirmed, just lousy quality control. Obviously their robots or minions can't figure out how to hit.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Expandable

Dead on arrival for audio and video accessories

No daisy chain, even through. A complete waste of my precious time. Pinout confirmed, just lousy quality control. Obviously their robots or minions can't figure out how to hit.

  • Hands-free operation
Cons

Got one, paid for it today, high hopes, doesn't work

that you want to test or that make you suspicious. If the Link LED on your switch is active, it means the connection is working great." I did. I was looking forward to plugging it into outlets around my house, to my 24-port home switch too go and see which port serves that outlet because the original installers didn't label them on the switch. Nope. Neither port caught fire. When I plug in a laptop or similar, the switch ports light up. So, the outlets, The ones I've tried actually work but…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Everything is fine
