This is a very handy key that should always be at hand. This is great for places like my parents house that don't have broadband to stream to a TV. It is also great for hotel travel. Just plug in and get started. A suggestion for future versions of this product, Qualcomm's fast charge support would be great! With heavy use, the phone draws more power than the charging function can deliver, but it really doesn't matter.

So many cable options and I was lucky enough to get exactly what I wanted on the first try. This works much better than the screen mirroring on my Galaxy S6+ which I had to endure for 2 years. It has another USB-C power input so you can charge your phone via the HDMI output. The only problem is that you can't connect a wireless USB mouse, keyboard or whatever. The first adapter I bought didn't work after 2 minutes of use so of course I was a bit frustrated. However, Cable Matters contacted me and sent me a replacement and it works great. I bought this cable in August 2019. Sometimes the monitor loses connection and I have to reconnect the cable and it will be back to normal. It was rare for the first few months, maybe once every 2-3 days, which I could handle. Over time this happened more and more often. Now it happens multiple times a day which drives me crazy. This product works great with my Samsung Galaxy S8 plus. There is no delay. It instantly switches between portrait and landscape modes. It can keep playing the projected video while you do other things on your phone. It also plays YouTube and gives you the option to relay audio to another paired Bluetooth speaker! Works great with Samsung S8+. I don't know what else to say. You connect it to your phone. Run HDMI from the adapter to any TV with HDMI and the phone will appear on this screen. EDIT NOTE. This is not a violation of the product, but you should be aware that some applications have built-in controls that do not allow you to view on the second screen. January 2018 at the time of writing.
