Description of πŸ”‘ RamPro Camouflaged Spare Key Rock - Authentic Stone Appearance - Ideal for Outdoor Garden or Yard, Geocaching (1)

Key holder that looks just like, well a rock. Ingenious way to hide key 'in plain sight' so you or family members are never locked out again. Goes 'undercover' among shrubs, grass or landscape rocks/wood chips; 3-3/8"L x 2"W x 1-1/4"H, 4 oz.

Does not go with the picture

Should have read the negative reviews. I also thought it was two pieces of stone that fit together, with a plastic insert holding the key in the middle. There is only one stone above and nothing below. I was disappointed thinking it was two boulders. I'm not returning it because it didn't cost much and I'll try to fix it so the key remains unreliable. Spring. I should have read the negative reviews.

Pros
  • An original way to hide the key "out of sight" so that you or your family members will never be locked out again
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Junk - not waterproof, not durable, don't waste your money

The plastic insert for inserting the key is made from cheap plastic and is so loose that the key will fall out. It's also so loose that moisture, water, etc. easily seep into the compartment (e.g. rust on the keys). Product photography is deceptive - there are no two stones that fit together. This is the top half of the rock with a square hole - a cheap (!) plastic tab fits freely in the hole. At the moment we can use it for a baby terrarium, but for hiding it is worse than useless because your

Not impressed, here's why.

Overall feel of the item "alive", looks like stone, feels like stone. My frustration lies in the security of the key. You can clearly see the plastic case that contains the key. The rock itself is rather small. If the stone were larger, the plastic wouldn't be as visible. In addition, the plastic body does not stick firmly to the stone. It can and will fill up with water (from rain/snow) and dirt, mud, etc. Although the goal is not to use this item all the time, it will be dirty. I'm going back
