I would say this rope ladder is as good as any I've seen at the Fire Dept., very well built and great carabiner clips, very durable, and dummy proof for use. You could leave this in a bag on your balcony for several years before any deterioration would comprise its usability. Fortunately I have not had to use my ladder in an emergency but I'm very happy with my purchase so far. It is easy to deploy, doesn't break windows and you can try it out prior to having to use it in an emergency. I was a little concerned that the attachment hooks would not feel secure on my windowsills but this fear was unfounded. They straddle perfectly and do not move around. They feel very solid. Since we moved to a new house purchasing an emergency fire escape ladder was a must. Didn’t want to risk it with any other American brand ladders and decided to go with the original isop ladders for their safety.

I bought this ladder, and hooks for second floor apartment. I checked it out already. So far its reliable and sturdy. Great product.

Bought 2, one for my daughter in college (she's on the 2nd floor) and the other for my son and his family. They are lightweight and seem very sturdy. I hope they never have to use them but if they do these should definitely get them safely to the ground.

I bought this for my friend's kids and they absolutely liked it. Besides being fire escape ladder, which is super useful, it is really fun for kids and even for adults. Quality is great. When you climb either up or down the ladder, your feet will swing forward. You need to have strong arms since you will be leaning backward. A senior citizen would not be strong enough in the arms. The rungs are fairly far apart. It would be better if they were not so widely spaced. Be sure you know how to use the carabines. You must push down on them to open. You must twist the swiveling chrome part in one direction to allow the carabine to open and then twist the chrome part in the other…

I used this to replace a stepladder i had setup for a fire escape on upstairs balcony. Much safer and easier to use. Takes practice to properly deploy.

product does not actually work well at all. Metal hooks do not hold fast, and since the ladder rungs start 3 feet below the window opening it is very difficult to crawl out the window and actually use the ladder. Impossible for kids under 10 to use without significant risk of slipping and falling off ladder. Would return if return window had not closed.

In my case, it was no way to attach the ladder to a window without this hooks. Its perfect for fire escape through window. Thanks for attention.

It's fairly lightweight, can be used over and over again, and looks pretty sturdy. I didn't actually test it out though.Hopefully I'll never have to use it!

This thing is supremely solid. I don't doubt the claims about high weight tolerance. It's not much more expensive than those junky colorful rope ladders people buy their kids, but this thing will hold you and your kids and your pets all at the same time. Very sturdy and impressive piece of manufacturing.

If you have a 16' drop from your master bedroom window you need this ladder if ever you need to escape fire raging up the stairs.

This is not sturdy at all when using this with a ladder thinking it would help stability this was no help. Literally held it in place when testing the ladder with it. Yea personally I don’t like it
