I bought this pajama set for my teenage daughter. She tends to wear clothes that are either small or medium in sizing, and the medium fit her better with this set. The shorts are short, but they don't ride up, and they are long enough that it's not uncomfortable for her to wear them around other people. I love the olive color and the comfy fit. Im usually a small (5 ft 3, 145lbs) but based on the reviews saying these run small, I ordered a medium. It's a little too big but bc its banded along the bottom and meant to be slouchy, I can get away with it. I washed/dried it thinking it may shrink some but it didn't. I'm 5'11", 18-20 depending, with a 46" bust and 38-40" waist. The XXL fits very well with the bottom sitting just a few inches above my knees. The size chart says the XL is 16-18 but I don't think I could size down as the XXL is a comfortable but snug fit.The lace has some stretch in it, as does the underlying liner. Both are very soft. The zipper on mine gets a little stuck about 3" down from fully closed but if you have someone to help you zip up it's not too big a deal. The seams are all verySee full review
