Description of 🏍️ Shogun USA-Made Black NO CUT Frame Sliders for Yamaha YZF-R6 R6 [2008-2016]

***NO BODY MODIFICATIONS REQUIRED*** 1YR FREE REPLACEMENT PUCK ***. All Shogun Motorsports frame slider kits come with left and right frame sliders and all necessary mounting hardware. Shogun also offers a 1yr free replacement puck for White, Black and PA2 kits. (Contact Shogun Motorsports for details.). Shogun frame sliders are superior to other frame slider brands by virtue of their construction and material. Shogun pucks are made of shatter-proof UHMW infused with UV protective polymer. Shogun pucks absorb kinetic energy from crashes and will not shatter in cold temperatures like some types of foreign recycled Delrin or fade in the sun. Each puck has a press fit aluminum bushing to hold it in place during impact to reduce the risk of the puck tearing off of the mounting point. Shogun uses socket head bolts in nearly every kit, allowing for stronger frame slider design in a more compact space. Newer applications of Shogun Frame Sliders make use of a counter sunk design, which distributes the force of impact over a wider area and gives additional strength to the system so that the puck remains attached to the motorcycle. Some Shogun products are available in a 3 piece kit which consist of matching frame sliders, swing arm spools and bar ends. Made in the USA.

Fits and looks good on my 2012 R6

Fits and looks good on my 2012 R6. However, when screwing in the end caps, they seemed to strip the threads if overtightened.

Sticks out too much, looks ridiculous

On the 2016 R6 they look a bit ridiculous, they just stick out too much. However, Shogun makes quality products. I came back and got woodcraft.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Highly recommended, great look, great fit.

Ordered for 2010 Yamaha R6. They went through with no problems and are of excellent quality. I didn't have to cut or drill the fenders, which was my biggest concern. I would highly recommend them to a friend, buy knowing you are getting a quality product.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Upgrades available

They work, even in unconventional ways

I'm glad I had these frame sliders on my 2013 R6. I was driving on Easter and the distracted driver was unaware and crashed into me at the intersection. His bumper hit my right frame slider and I looked away from his car. I managed not to drop the bike and no one was hurt. I was angry because it was horribly bent and I feared the frame was damaged. On the way back I realized that if my bike didn't have a crash pad my right knee would have been hit by the man's bumper and I definitely would have
