🏆 Master Classic Discovery by Basic Fun Review

I love View Master and have been using it since the 70's. I was excited to get this master viewer for my youngest kids. I was shocked by this quality. It's like a cheap plastic shop, which I didn't expect from a well-known brand. Image quality is ok. I'm keeping it because it really works and I don't have another one, but I'm disappointed that it's so cheaply made. The included slides are great and just like my 70's collection.

This viewfinder is pretty cool and even acceptable for its price, but its mechanics and plastic are a bit inferior to the original viewfinder. Not as durable as I remembered as a kid but expected the same. Sometimes images get stuck even if you click slowly and carefully, requiring a double click. The foils are thin and bend easily. I remember they were thicker. Collects dust inside, but that can be unavoidable. I wish it had more than two slides. All those negative reviews are meaningless. Yeah, it's not like when we were kids. Sure, it's not pure iron or coated in toxic lead paint, but it works and is light enough for a 2.5 year old. My son can pull out and swap the coils himself, lift them to his head and use the lever to switch pictures. He was very happy with this product.
