Beautiful stick! good for trekking poles

This walking stick is amazing! The only complaint is that the tip is in the wrong place. It should be at the top, but that's where I put my hand. I drilled a new hole and moved the lanyard. If you don't want this, you can probably just cut off the tip. Otherwise it has a lot of character, good price, I take it everywhere. This is perfect for my needs!

Traveled over 20 miles

Love it. I'm a big guy with some weaknesses that have kept me from walking paths. This pole is sturdy, has plenty of headroom for the 6,333-foot guys, and the ergonomic grip has proven useful when climbing steeper inclines. My only (minor) issues are that the leather strap is a bit shorter than would be useful and the rubber stopper slips when the rail is less than 75˚ vertical. But love no matter what.

There is no handgrip area for winter use with gloves to prevent the hand from slipping down the shaft.

Rated 4 stars and requesting a return of this item due to the nice smooth finish with no grip area to avoid slipping when wearing gloves or mittens in cold weather. By the time you get this item, recognize the need for a grip area and compare it to an old walking stick with the handle attached. Leather straps are really only useful for hanging, unless you're used to wrapping them around your wrist, which I'm not. .
