After learning the basics, you will still have plenty of materials to make a variety of creations from animals, art, fun creations, holiday decorations, gifts, and more. CARDED WOOL - 12 colors of carded New Zealand Maori Wool, 1/2 ounce each (14 gr). This 100% pure wool is a favorite for quick and easy felting. Processed in Italy. COMBED WOOL ROVING- 5 colors of Merino combed wool roving, 1/4 oz each (7 gr). Used for accents such as hair, fur, and more. Processed in the U.K. CORE WOOL ROVING- 2 oz of Corriedale wool. This wool is used for the core of most projects. Processed in the USA. FELTING NEEDLES - 15 precision felting needles made of high carbon steel, color coded for size, in a metal storage case for safety. Five each: 36 gauge Star, 38 gauge Star, and 40 gauge Spiral/Twist. Made by Groz-Beckert of Germany. WOOL PAD made of 100% pure wool, size 5 x 7 x 1 inch, made in USA. The perfect set for beginners!

Got this set for Mother's Day and I LOVE it! Seems to have everything you need. The amount of wool provided is large, and the wool rug is really good (especially instead of a foam rug, which you definitely don't need). Basically I got this to make Waldorf crowns for my kids and I already know I can make great ones! In an hour with this kit I have already made several small items including a cherry and a tree! Everything you need to start felting. Beautiful colors, quality product. I loved making these palm sized cuties for my first. Very therapeutic and enjoyable! I will be sending this set to a family in the future so they can try something new and fall in love with felting! No handicraft talent is required for fun. Great kit, everything I needed

I wanted to try felting to make a penguin shaped mobile for a friend who is expecting a baby. I looked at a few starter kits but settled on this one because it had wool carpet instead of foam. Also, I noticed that the same company sells large packs of individual colors, which I think would come in handy if I ran out of a specific color in the middle of a project.
