Haven't used it yet but did a quick color test by soaking it in hot soapy water and letting it dry on a windowsill in direct sunlight for a couple of days. it was the same color.

This thread tangles, knots and slips. It's also UNMARKED. There are no numbers or guides to compare with DMC threads. If you need floss for counted cross stitch patterns, skip this.

In use for a few weeks. It appears to be of good quality, shiny and durable. I didn't have a break. It's nice to have such a color palette as I embroider different designs and don't have to go to the store for individual colors. The only thing is that they don't have numbers, but in my case I don't need them. There are 2 of each color in the set. When I was unrolling the paints to put on plastic embroidery bobbins, I had to wash my hands because the paint came off in my hand. I've had a few strands where you can see the color doesn't really cover the entire strand. Then none of the strands are numbered to save for cross stitch. So I wouldn't trust this product to actually make baby blankets that I cross stitch. Especially since babies put everything in their mouths.

No need to shoot stars because I didn't get what I wanted. While this thread is similar to DMC, it is made up of a very robust set of gradients that are overall very well chosen. I was hoping for a neutral, not too red, not too blue, purple. The best purple here is very close to DMC 550. I don't have many DMC shades, but if you want to do a lot of shadows or huge ombres, get this set. The areas are much larger and more contiguous than DMC. There were no wild flowers to stand out from the rest.

I am very pleased with the quality and color range of this purchase. Available in 120 colors, 2 skeins of each color. I love the colors - lots of interesting tertiary and muted colors as well as bright vibrant primary and secondary colors. I'm an artist who creates original works with embroidery on paper, so I'm not concerned about the exact match of color numbers from other manufacturers. To be honest I have never used thread for cross stitching. The first impression is: you get a lot for the money. I decided to buy just the 12 DMC thread I need for 1 project and it costs over $25. So the value is amazing. The thread isn't as silky soft as I'd like, but I don't sew or wash clothes. More home decor. You get 2 of each color which is awesome. It has such beautiful shades of colour. Very subtle variations between each shade are included in each pack. Of course I'm not running out of thread now. Thing is, if I do that, I can't re-order without re-ordering the entire pack. DMS lies. It's not as shiny as JP Coats but has a nice sheen or thread sheen that really enhances the colors.
