With the watch band pin remover. The pins brake very easily as you turn the knob. First the pin pins bend then they brake. As for the pin pusher. I ordered the large. It fits nicely, but is not THAT oversized, so if you want lots of room, go bigger. I washed and dried mine at medium temp, and it washed and dried just fine, no shrinking or pilling or melting, as someone else's review stated. They only reason I didn't give five stars is because it's advertised as flannel, but it's actually a short fleece outside, and furry fleece inside. First of all, the names of the colors are printed on the box but it's on the holographic sticker and really hard to read. It's a pain to have to take each one out and open it to figure out the color. Second, the color is not that of the pictures. It doesn't just change colors mid stroke but there is a slight color change if you look at it from different angles.
