Incredibly easy to install and works 100% as expected.

Incredibly easy to install and works 100% as expected. HOWEVER – it came with no instructions, no paperwork, nothing. Just a box of 2 items. Luckily, this is a straightforward type of item. For proper installation, first remove the two pieces of top piece on the top of the Freedom for easier and safer installation.

Teared weak when mom weighing 110 pounds 4ft 8inches got into jeep

poor quality. The passenger side blasted clean when my 110lb 4ft 8in mom tried to use it as an aid to get into the jeep so even under her full weight she fell into the mud. Then I checked my side, ripping it open with little effort, the nylon strap ripped almost as easily as duct tape. I then attempted to pry off the rear seat rails, which didn't pull off easily, but you should still be able to pry them off with little effort. GARBAGE!

Smittybilt Body and Grips

I usually like Smittybilt products, but these grips are poorly made. Pay extra money and don't buy these pens! I have a lifted jeep, my dad is retired and loves 4X4s, I put them on my jeep for him and couldn't support his weight with the side pegs. I'm about 240 and hit the bottom and tore the grip at the seams. Order another set from another company, pay more and they work great. Giving them 2 stars because I've had success with other Smittybilt products.

Personally. Not worth it - you get what you pay for.

I ordered a set of these grips for my 2012 Wrangler and sent them back same/next day. Are they broken for me? No, but I felt the quality was poor given my expectations and my willingness to buy a pair that I really like. If you weighed 100lbs the clutch might be fine but they seemed to break within a few weeks of minimal use and after 2-3 tries they started to sag a lot more than the picture shows. 1 box contains 2 pens which is a plus if you are looking for reliable pens don't let the price…

Works great for me!: Body and Fairing

I put these on the front of my 1997 Jeep Wrangler (I have a much cheaper set on the back) because I have some smaller, heavier friends who have trouble getting in the jeep. I really like the way they look, the way they attach is weird and it took me a few minutes to figure it out, but just look at the picture on the box if you're having trouble. I've been wearing them for a while now and I've seen them support girls who weigh 100lbs and I've seen them support one of my heavier friends who is…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Very durable and well finished product. Perfectly positioned and extraordinarily strong. However, without guidance, there were some problems. I build cars, build and replace engines, transmissions, tails, etc. There aren't many things in a car that I can't fix or replace. Their installation took almost an hour. Nothing fits right and the included screws suck. Every time I ran one of them it seemed like he was mixed up. I got angry and bought new screws. Now everything went smoothly. Save…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
