I am a very short 19 year old, works in construction - I am on my feet all day lifting things like concrete, shingles and wood . I bought these shoes because tennis shoes made my feet too vulnerable. For the most part I was happy with the boots. They provided shelter and protection from sawdust, gravel and concrete. The splints had better grip than the tennis shoes, so I slipped less. THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT DESERVE A STAR (but I had to select it to give my review!) I am so disgusted that THESE BOOTS ARE SO WRONG! It's pretty obvious to the naked eye, you just can't tell from her photo. Real timbs are much heavier, have 4 rows of stitching (instead of 2, nice try) and are of better quality (leather/suede/nubuck) and weatherproof. I'm not sure what fabric they are made of but it's cheap and all the ones I've gotten seem to be worn out which is odd because I've ordered 3 pairs…
