I was very lucky not to leave the room while charging. I noticed a strange chemical smell but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Finally, I picked up my Fitbit Sense while it was charging and it was HOT and it was obvious that it had an odor. I removed it from the charger and unplugged the charger which was also very hot. Part of the charger has melted. It looks like the pins don't line up exactly with the back of the Sense, which could be part of the problem. All I can say is that I am grateful that I found him in time. I suggest just spend $20 on Fitbit website and buy the real deal,
