Purchased for Imac 2022 to plug wired headphones into the back of the device, and not from the side (otherwise the Imac looks awful). As a result, the sound turned out to be somewhat embellished. That is, if the sound from the native socket comes out even (balanced tops or bottoms), then with an adapter, the sound comes already calibrated, like on Airpods. This means that if you had an additional equalizer configured for you, you can forget about it, you will get an overloaded mess.
