Updated (article type matters - Nov 2017). on the second printer due to the print quality, but the problem was with the PAPER, not the printer itself.

We use this WF7620 in our home office. We bought this particular model because the larger format scanning platform seemed like a great idea. We switched to this Epson printer from an HP Officejet 8600 series and regret our decision. Epson print quality does NOT stay the same. Read all reviews that mention endless printhead cleaning. We have similar experiences. Wash printhead/nozzles. The main problem with graphics of any kind. In general, standard black TEXT prints fine, but any kind of graphics looks terrible. In some rare cases, cleaning the printhead makes a difference, but printer performance degrades quickly. We only used Epson OEM inks and Hammermill Premium Inket Paper (over $12 per ream). bad picture quality, I spent a lot of time with Epson support. They were responsive but really just showed me a troubleshooting flowchart. In addition to cleaning the print head again, aligning and checking the nozzles; There was an interesting step in the procedure of turning off the printer for a certain number of hours before doing anything. it was an unexpected step. In the end, our original 7620 was replaced under warranty. a replacement device (supported by Epson) was repaired by the manufacturer. The replacement machine printed MUCH BETTER for a few weeks, and then the image quality started to degrade to the point where it was inferior to the original. I would avoid this printer and buy HP. Although we had to clean the printhead from time to time, the print quality was MUCH better with HP. When there was an obvious print quality issue, cleaning the printhead at HP produced results you could count on (the print quality would have been better). Update (November 18, 2017) - After all the print quality issues and endless loops with Epson support (printer "on"?) I followed the google search suggestion, Try OEM/vendor printer paper before buying a replacement. I literally bought the most expensive paper - Hammermill Premium Inkjet & Laser Paper (24 lb, 97 brightness). I replaced it with Epson Bright White Pro Paper (24lb, 96 bright) and thanks to it we have a NEW printer. It prints consistently good quality. I can not believe that. The more I think about it, the more frustrated/angry I get about cycles being burned on an Epson enabled phone when they could have offered a different paper. lame. Therefore, it is recommended to use Epson paper to ensure good quality. (and a pack costs 1/2 the cost of a hammer mill). Pros
  • Never run out of ink again - The printer supports Amazon Dash Replenishment which, once activated, tracks ink usage and reorders from Amazon when ink runs out running low.
Cons
  • Long delivery time
