Started at physical therapy. Now at home.

So this was used at a physical therapy session I went to. If used properly, it can leave what appears to be like a bruise on the skin. But it helped with relaxing muscles in my neck and shoulders. Now I have one at home because I have a wife that can be taught how to use it in a similar fashion. Its like a message but more conctrated. It helped with pain relief in my neck and shoulders, but not so much with range of motion. To learn how to use this, I am sure a YouTube video on…

Pros
  • I use this to treat my planters fasciitis and it helps tremendously! I just use every night before bed.
Cons
  • Not everyone is familiar with gua sha scraping, so it may be ineffective for some

Long edges are NOT beveled

I like the inside curved edges, they are good for scanning small body parts (think wrists, forearms), but the long edges are not beveled, they are flat with 90 degree edges, so they are not useful for scraping. This was different than the edges on the Graston tool, so just be aware that you will not be able to use the long straight edges for IASTM. It's a great deal, but with limited usage.

Pros
  • Easy to use and hold got another one
Cons
  • The tool may not be appropriate for those with sensitive skin

Very strange shipping experience!

Will write about shipping shortly. I have used Graston Tools and while this is not the same weight, shape or thickness, this is a very nice product and works great on the superficial facia layer. I am not sure why people are calling this aluminum. It weighs 5 oz/143 grams and is sturdy like stainless steel; however, there is no stamp identifying the material. Be aware of weird shipping messages. I purchased this because the software said I would get it the same day. It took 5 days to get here…

Pros
  • Tool works great. Use it everyday.
Cons
  • The tool may not be effective for those with acute injuries

Worth the money in my review

It is helping with my Achilles’ tendon pain. After self massaging my limping has almost gone away. Although decent weight was hoping for something heavier. Would buy again though.

Pros
  • Massage Tools & Equipment
Cons
  • The tool may be uncomfortable or awkward to use on oneself

Can’t beat the price.

Great price. Quality material. The bevel could be a bit more comfortable when working on the thumbs, fingers and hands. I am recommending this brand to many of my patients.

Pros
  • I have used it on servers client's and they love it.
Cons
  • The tool may not be effective for those with chronic muscle or joint pain

Gua Sha IASTM Tool: my feedback

I really like the shape and weight of the curved tool. It's easy to hold, has a nice edge to it, and it's not super slippery in my hand. The thickness is pretty good for the price, so overall very happy with it for my scar tissue massage. I'd definitely purchase again.

Pros
  • Wellness & Relaxation
Cons
  • The tool may not be suitable for those with certain medical conditions or injuries

Good scar tissue tool

Taught to use by physical therapist and continue to use this tool on my injured hand and fingers. It works good with a hand lotion lubricant.

Pros
  • Might have been thinner in one end. It works fine for home use.
Cons
  • The tool may require intense pressure to be effective, which may be uncomfortable for some

Love this product best in my review

My hand therapist suggested I get this product for continued therapy at home after my surgery. Works like the one she has in her office. Nice and solid. So glad I made this purchase!

Pros
  • Helps improve overall skin elasticity and appearance with regular use
Cons
  • The tool may not be effective for those with certain types of pain or discomfort

So far so good. good for me

Compared to Graston or Rock branded tools these are a steal price wise. I'm a Physical therapist assistant in a busy outpatient clinic and have used this on various body parts as well as scars with good results. I'd like a few more now.

Pros
  • I like the weight, size and super easy to disinfect
Cons
  • The tool may not work well for individuals with limited mobility or flexibility

Not too Bad - my new review

Pretty similar to what you see out there nowadays. It works well in certain areas but in others its a bit too large. I dont regret buying because it gets the job done for a reasonable price.

Pros
  • Helps stimulate collagen production for more youthful-looking skin
Cons
  • The tool may not provide the same benefits as a professional massage therapist

Extremely Useful Tool

I learned of this tool from my physical therapist. I've had a full hip replacement and suffer from many painful knots in the muscle, as well as painful scar tissue. This tool rolls out the knots very nicely which helps to relieve the pain. It also comes in a very nice protective pouch.

Pros
  • Portable and easy to carry for on-the-go use
Cons
  • The tool may be difficult to use on certain angles or positions

Great tool for my opinion

This tool was recommended by my PT. I use it to break up fibrotic tissue on my feet. It is easy to grip and doesn't slide out of my hand. It is well made and the perfect size for my average-sized, female hands.I think it is an amazing value for the money.

Pros
  • Smaller than expected
Cons
  • The tool may not be effective for relieving stress or tension

Great tool for my opinion

Doesn’t seem like something so simple could work so well. Surpassed my expectations for massaging sore muscles and tendons. Got it for sore feet but it works well on neck and back as well.

Pros
  • Effective in reducing inflammation and swelling in affected areas
Cons
  • The tool may not be effective for every individual

Handy, dandy IASTM tool for beginners

If you’re new to Graston, I want to really encourage you to take it easy with the pressure you exert while using this instrument. I went a little too gung-ho and now my whole leg is bruised ! Use light movement and don’t push it too hard. The instrument is a wonderful value, easy to use, and cleans easily with soap and hot water. I have used it in places all over the entire body, and it works very well. Highly recommend!

Pros
  • Helps improve the overall relaxation and wellness of the body
Cons
  • The tool may not be effective for all types of muscle or tissue pain

Why am I bruising? in my review

Anyone else bruise while using this? I had a stiff neck and did this this morning. Looks like I've been in a fight. Doesn't hurt. But it's weird! 😂

Pros
  • This tool is exactly the same as my physical therapist uses. I love it!
Cons
  • The tool may not be appropriate for those with certain medical devices or implants

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Thin and slippery, but still good.

Took off a star because it’s kind of hard to hold. It’s pretty thin and there’s no texture to grip onto. It does work very well though. It’s heavy and sturdy.

Pros
  • Good quality tool works and as well as tools used in rehab clinics
Cons
  • The tool may not be as effective as other forms of massage

Great buy! - my new review

Great product and does the trick for my daughters tight muscles. We know a therapist who has the hospital grade tool and this one seems to do stripping just as well! For way less money!

Pros
  • The only piece of equipment to help me after golfers Elbow surgery
Cons
  • The tool may require a lot of effort to use properly

Great tool: my feedback

It arrived promptly and as pictured in the photo. It is a helpful tool to massage tight muscles. I'd recommend this product!

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain for hygienic use
Cons
  • The tool may not be convenient for all consumers to use at home

Great for Trigger point therapy

This is great for breaking up triggerpoints and scar tissue. Afterward I use ice for 20 minutes to reduce inflammation. I like to use just a little bit of lotion or oil when using this tool.

Pros
  • I recommend
Cons
  • The tool may not be suitable for those with certain medical conditions

Thinner than expected, but still a good value!

This is a great tool to help break up scar tissue, and relieve some of the chronic pain associated with it. Because it is thinner than the one that my chiropractor uses, it's important to take care to angle it properly, and stroke in only one direction, on the scar tissue. But it arrived on time, as promised, has a very smooth good surface, and is a great value for the money, and it is working great for me!

Pros
  • I like them. Easy to use and effective
Cons
  • The tool may not be suitable for those with certain body types or shapes
